Abstract
Una celda de combustible (9) incluye un suministrador de combustible (12) removible y reemplazable que tiene combustible dispuesto en el mismo. Se provee un sistema para monitorear diversos parametros del combustible tales como temperatura, presion, y los niveles de oxigeno disuelto. Una pluralidad de sensores (30) esta dispuesta sobre el costado del suministrador de combustible que es capaz de comunicarse con un controlador (18) y memoria (13) sobre el costado de la celda de combustible. En otra realizacion, al menos un sensor para medir un parametro del combustible del sistema se comunica con una etiqueta RFID (50) ya sea remotamente o via un enlace de conexion fisica. El sensor y/o la etiqueta RFID puede estar recubierta con una sustancia impermeable al combustible caustico. Una estacion de lectura de etiquetas RFID recolecta los datos. El controlador puede estar incluido para utilizar los datos en tiempo real para alterar los parametros del sistema, tales como tasas de bombeo de combustible o un sangrado, o para disparar una senal, tal como para notificar a un usuario acerca de un suministrador de combustible vacio.
