Abstract
Esta invencion se relaciona a receptores de sabor quimericos que comprenden la porcion extracelular de un T1R o una variante o fragmento del mismo, ya sea T1R1 o T1R2, y la porcion de transmembrana de otro T1R o una variante de fragmento del mismo, ya sea T1R1 o T1R2, preferiblemente asociado con un polipeptido T1R3 y una proteina G adecuada. Estos receptores de sabor quimericos y celulas que expresan tales receptores de sabor quimerico son utiles en los ensayos para identificar ligandos dulces y umami tambien en ensayos para identificar aumentadores dulces y umami. Adicionalmente estos receptores de sabor quimericos y celulas que expresan los mismos se pueden utilizar para mapear y determinar donde los ligandos dulces y umami especificos interactuan con sus receptores respectivos y para elucidar el mecanismo de activacion de receptor.
