Abstract
La invencion se relaciona con una junta de rotula, por ejemplo para un sistema de ejes de un vehiculo automotor. La junta de rotula comprende una caja (1) esencialmente en forma de anillo o tarro en cuya camara interna esencialmente cilindrica se puede disponer un casquete (2) de rotula. La esfera (3) de un vastago (4) de rotula o de una articulacion (8) de casquillo puede alojarse de manera deslizante en el casquete (2) de rotula. La junta de rotula inventiva es caracterizada porque la superficie (10) de cojinete del casquete (2) de rotula coincide esencialmente con la superficie de un elipsoide rotacional cuyo semieje menor coincide con la direccion axial de la junta de rotula. La junta de rotula inventiva ofrece ventajas en cuanto a vida util, resistencia a fallas y capacidad de carga. La distribucion mas uniforme de presion por area en el intersticio entre el casquete de rotula y la esfera reduce el desgaste y reduce los momentos de friccion.
