Abstract

Esta invencion se relaciona a secuencias de polinucleotido que codifican un gen que puede conferir resistencia al patogeno de plantas Colletotrichum, que causa pudricion del tallo por antracnosis, anublo de la hoja y plaga de la parte superior en el maiz y otros cereales. Ademas se relaciona a plantas y semillas de plantas que llevan genes quimericos que comprenden las secuencias de polinucleotido, que aumentan o confieren resistencia al patogeno de plantas Colletotrichum, y a procesos para hacer las plantas y semillas. La invencion ademas presenta secuencias que pueden ser utilizadas como marcadores moleculares que a su vez se pueden utilizar para identificar la region de interes en lineas de maiz que resultan de nuevas cruzas y para introingresar rapida y eficientemente el gen de las lineas de maiz que llevan el gen a otras lineas de maiz que no llevan el gen, con el fin de hacerlas resistentes a Colletotrichum y resistentes a la pudricion del tallo.
