Abstract

Se describe un procedimiento que comprende polimerizar un monomero olefinico opcionalmente junto con un comonomero olefinico, en presencia de un catalizador de polimerizacion, en un diluyente, en un reactor de tipo bucle que comprende al menos dos secciones horizontales y al menos dos secciones verticales, para producir una suspension espesa que comprende polimero olefinico solido en particulas y el diluyente, en donde el indice de Froude en por lo menos el 20% de la longitud de las secciones verticales del bucle del reactor es menor del 85% del indice de Froude en por lo menos el 20% de la longitud de las secciones horizontales del bucle.
