Abstract
Se provee un aparato para la evaluacion de ablacion de tejido; el aparato comprende una fuente de iluminacion de luz de banda ancha (blanca; multiples longitudes de onda) y/o luz laser (longitud de onda sencilla) que suministra luz al sitio en donde se esta formando una lesion; se recolecta luz dispersa del tejido con ablacion y se evalua para obtener informacion cualitativa con respecto a la lesion recien formada; el aparato permite la valoracion de parametros tales como por ejemplo proximidad de cateter-tejido, formacion de lesion, profundidad de penetracion de la lesion, area transversal de la lesion en el tejido, formacion de calcinacion durante la ablacion, reconocimiento de calcinacion a partir de tejido no calcinado, formacion de coagulo alrededor del sitio de ablacion, diferenciacion entre sangre coagulada y no coagulada, diferenciacion entre tejido con ablacion y sano, y reconocimiento de formacion de vapor en el tejido para prevencion de surgimiento de vapor; estas valoraciones se realizan al medir la intensidad y espectro de luz difusamente reflejada en una o mas longitudes de onda.
