Abstract

Un articulo de metal de polvo sinterizado basado en hierro para lobulo de leva y otras aplicaciones de alto desgaste, de alta temperatura que requieren excelente estabilidad de forma de red durante la sinterizacion comprende una mezcla de metal de polvo que consiste esencialmente, en peso, de 0.5 - 3.0% de Mo, 1 - 6.5% de Cr, 1 - 5% de V y el resto de Fe e impurezas. Estos articulos tambien tienen una caja carburada que tiene 0.7 - 1.2% de C en peso. Despues de la carburacion de la caja, los articulos se enfrian rapidamente para formar una matriz martensitica que tiene una red de carburos gastados de Cr y V. Los articulos sinterizados resultantes tienen buena resistencia mecanica y resistencia al desgaste y poseen excelente maquinabilidad y estabilidad dimensional.
