Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a procedimientos parapreparar acetato de vinilo en fase gaseosa a partir de etileno, ácido acetico y oxígeno a gases que contienen oxígeno, en presedencia de un catalizador que contiene paladio y/o sus compuestos, así como eventualmente de modo adicional oro y/o compuestos de oro, así como, en calidad de activadores, compuestos de metales alcalinos y eventuamente de modo adicional compuesto de cadmio sobre un soporte,que consta de SiO2 o de una mezcla de SiO2 y Al2O3 con una superficie específicade 50-250 m2/g y un volumen de poros de 0.4-1.2 m1/g, y tiene un tamaño de granos de 4 a 9 mm, caracterizado porque de uno 5 a un 20 por ciento del volumen de poros del soporte está formado por poros con radio de 200 a 3.000 Angstrom y de un 50 a un 90 por ciento del volumen de poros está formado por poros con radios de 70 a 100 Angstrom.
