Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a metodo para preparar una composición de ácido dihidrocarbil monotiofosfórico de la fórmula: en donde R1 y R2 cada uno independientemente son grupos hidrocarbilo de 1 a aproximadamente 30 átomos de carbono y X es oxígeno o azufre, con la condición de que una X sea azufre; caracterizado porque comprende reaccionar: A) un fosfito ester de la estructura con B) una fuente de azufre, en la presencia de C) una cantidad catalítica de una mezcla de la estructura R3CONR4R5, en donde R3, R4 y R5 cada una independientemente son hidrógeno o un grupo hidrocarbilo que contiene de 1 a aproximadamente 30 átomos de carbono o una amida etoxilada de la estructura: en donde la suma de x e y es de 1 a aproximadamente 50.
