Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la preparación de vidrios orgánicos revestimientos superficiales mediante la polimerización de una composición que contiene cuando menos un monómero alil carbónico, caracterizado por el hecho de que se somete a la acción de las radiaciones ultravioleta una composición líquida polimerizable que contiene: a) cuando menos un bis- o poli-(alil carbonato) de un diol o bien de un poliol; b) un ester vinílico, con una relación ponderal entre el componente (a) y el componente (b) de 100:0 a 7'0:30; c) un peróxido orgánico en una cantidad de 0 a 5 partes en peso por cada 100 partes en peso de la suma de los componentes (a) y (b); y d) un fotoiniciador orgánico en una cantidad de 0.5 a 5 partes en peso por cada 100 partes en peso de la suma de los componentes (a) y (b); con la condición de que los componentes (b) y (c) no estén ausentes contemporáneamente.
