Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un catalizador de n íquel/sílice que opcionalmente tambien contiene cationes de un metal (X) del Grupo II inferior, caracterizado en que el catalizador reducido satisface la siguiente combinación de características: 1) una razón molar de SiO2/Ni 0.15 - 0.35; 2) una razón molar de X / Ni 0 - 0.15; 3) un área de uperficie activa de níquel por arriba de 120 m cuadrado/g; 4) un área de superficie BET de la cual, cuando menos 40 por ciento se encuentra con poros con un radio por arriba de 2.5 nm, también el catalizador contiene cuando menos 50 por ciento de níquel.
