Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición de hule de silicón curable, caracterizada porque comprende: de 0.2 a 10 partes en peso de cuando menos un catalizador de curación de peróxido de bromobenzoílo, de la estructura: en donde n es 1 ó 2; m es 0, 1 ó 2; y de 90 a 99.8 partes en peso de un polímero de organopolisiloxano que tiene una unidad repetitiva principal: en donde R y R1 se seleccionan independientemente de h, alquilo de 1 a 4 átomos de carbono, cicloalquilo de 6 a 9 átomos de carbono y fenilo; teniendo opcionalmente el polímero unidades estructurales localizadas aleatoriamente: -RR2SiO- y -R1R3SiO- en donde R2 es fenilo y R3 es un alquenilo de 2 a 3 átomos de carbono, de manera que el grado de polimerización del polímero de organopolisiloxano esté entre alrededor de 700 a alrededor de 15,000.
