Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato de soplete de combustible gaseoso adaptado para emplearse en operaciones de corte o de soldadura, comprendiendo dicho aparato en combinación: un soplete operable selectivamente para la combustión de una mezcla de un combustible gaseoso y oxígeno; un suministrador de oxígeno para dicho soplete; y un módulo de aprovisionamiento de combustible para suministrar combustible gaseoso a dicho soplete a una presión elevada a partir de una fuente de combustible gaseoso a una presión relativamente baja, incluyendo dicho módulo de aprovisionamiento de combustible; una entrada al módulo de aprovisionamiento de combustible conectable en comunicación flúiida con dicha fuente de combustible gaseoso a presión relativamente baja; un compresor en comunicación fluída con dicha entrada al módulo de aprovisionamiento de combustible y energizable selectivamente de la fuente del mismo con el fin de incrementar su presión, teniendo dicho compresor una entrada al compresor en comunicación flúida con dicha entrada al módulo de aprovisionamiento de combustible y una salida para la descarga del combustible gaseoso compresor; y la descarga del módulo de aprovisionamiento de combustible está conectable selectiva y desprendiblemente a dicho soplete para suministrar selectivamente dicho combustible gaseoso comprimido del compresor al soplete, incluyendo la descarga del módulo de aprovisionamiento de combustible un regulador ajustable en comunicación flúida con la salida de descarga del compresor y operable para ajustar preselectivamente la presión de dicho combustible gaseoso comprimido al soplete a una preión de descarga del módulo de aprovisionamiento de combustible preselectivamente ajustada.
