Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en un método para aislar una tira continua de metal ferromagnético amorfo, caracterizadas en que el método comprende: aplicar a la tira una película de una composición que comprende: desde 3 a 32 por ciento de un alcóxido de metal que tenga la fórmula general (M(OR)n, en donde M es un metal formador de alcóxido, R es alquilo y n es la valencia de metal; desde 56 a 96 por ciento de un disolvente para el alcóxido de metal; desde 1.0 por ciento de agua; desde 0.001 a 0.1 por ciento de un ácido; y calentar la tira a una temperatura superior a aquella a la cual el alcóxido de metal se hidroliza y polimeriza y se evaporan el agua y el disolvente pero menor a la temperatura a la cual se cristaliza la tira de metal amorfo, para producir un revestimiento de vidrio en la tira.
