Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la producción de un vulcanizado que tiene una reducida permeabilidad al aire, que comrpende: a) mezclar en un equipo mezclador de caucho o hule (i) 100 partes por peso de un terpolímero de caucho; (ii) aproximadamente de 30 a 90 partes por peso de al menos un tipo de negro de carbón, y (iii) un sistema de curado que comprende desde aproximadamente 1 hasta aproximadamente 10 partes por peso de óxido de zinc, desde aproximadamente 0.2 hasta aproximadamente 2 partes por peso de azufre elemental y desde aproximadamente 0.5 hasta aproximadamente 3 partes por peso de al menos un acelerador con base de azufre, y b) curar la mezcla mediante calentamiento a 150 grados C hasta aproximadamente 200 grados C durante 5 hasta aproximadamente 120 minutos, el proceso está caracterizado en que el terpolímero de hule o caucho comprende desde aproximadamente 0.5 hasta aproximadamente 2 por ciento en mol de isopreno, aproximadamente de 2 hasta aproximadamente 7 moles por ciento dfe alfa-metilestireno y aproximadamente de 91 hasta aproximadamente 97.5 por cineto en mol de isobutileno.
