Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para producir un buteno-1 de alta pureza, a partir de un material de carga que contiene n-butano; dicho procedimiento se caracteriza en que comprende las etapas que consisten en: a) deshidrogenar un material de carga que contiene n-butano, en presencia de un catalizador de cromia-alúmina, para obtener un producto de reacción que contiene buteno-1, buteno-2, isobuteno, butadieno y productos secundarios pesados; b) hidrogenar el producto butadieno obtenido para lograr una cantidad adicional de buteno-1 y de buteno-2; c) fraccionar el producto de reacción, procedente de la etapa de hidrogenación del butadieno, para obtener una corriente de domo que comprende buteno-1 e isobuteno y una fracción residual que comprende n-butano, buteno-2 y otros hidrocarburos pesados; d) hacer que la fracción de domo de la etapa c), que contiene isobuteno y buteno-1, reaccione con metanol para formar el éter butílico terciario de metilo, del producto de reacción de la etapa d), para producir un residuo que contiene éter butílico terciario de metilo y una fracción de domo que comprende buteno-1 e isobutano; f) separar el isobutano del buteno-1 y reciclar el isobutano a la zona de deshidrogenación que se describe en la etapa a).
