Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para preparar partículas expansibles de polímero de estireno con un revestimiento adherente de sales cuaternarias de amonio, caracterizado porque comprende a) introducir dichas partículas expansibles de polímero de estireno en un recipiente de mezclado cerrado; b) preparar organosoles de dichas sales cuaternarias de amonio y ésteres glicerílicos de ácidos grasos de cadena larga de hidrocarburos alifáticos cíclicos o normales o mezclas de normales, con o sin un componente aromático c) agregar dichos organosoles a las partículas expansibles de polímero de estireno, con mezclado d) separar dichso hidrocarburos alifáticos mediante reducción de la presión en el recipiente de mezclado referido: y e) separar las citadas partículas expansibles de polímero de estireno revestidas con las sales cuaternarias de amonio mencionadas, Partículas expansibles de polímero de estireno caracterizadas porque tienen un revestimiento adherente de una o más sales cuaternarias de amonio y uno o más glicéridos de ácido graso de cadena larga.
