Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un aparato para determinar el diámetro de la perforación, la altura de la pared interna y/o el radio de curvatura de la pared interna de un tubo transparente o translucio consiste de: un laser que proporciona un haz luminoso a una longitud de onda para la cual el material que se está midiendo es transparente o translúcido; un medio de dirección para el rayo laser a fin de orientar el radio laser hacia una ubicación de tubo y perpendicular a un eje longitudinal del tubo mientras que se mueve el haz orientado para explorar el tubo; un medio de detección de luz colocado para recibir la luz polarizada perpendicular al eje del tubo desde el rayo laser cuya luz laser se ha reflejado o refractado mediante la pared interna del tubo, y un medio de detección de luz capaz de generar señales que responden a la luz recibida, y un medio de procesamiento de señales asociado con el medio de detección de luz para procesar las señales para determinar la posición de la pared interna del tubo por medio de analización cuando las señales de la luz laser reflejada o refractada cambian desde haberse reflectado hasta haberse refractado a través de la pared interna del tubo.
