Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método de fabricar substancialmente continuamente un electrodo negativo de aleación de almacenamiento de hidrógeno electroquímico de metal híbrido, de área grande, para usarse en una bateria recargable de metal híbrido de níquel, dicho método comprendiendo los pasos de: proveer un substrato de pantalla de malla de alambre 40, continua; proveer una cantidad medida de un material de aleación de almacenamiento de hidrógeno electroquímico de metal híbrido pulverizado 39; disponer continuamente una capa del material de aleación de almacenamiento de hidrógeno 39 en contacto con el substrato de pantalla de malla de alambre 40 en una atmósfera substancialmente inerte 36; compactar el material de aleación de almacenamiento de hidrógeno 39 en la pantalla de malla de alambre de manera que se forme un depósito verde del mismo 56; pre-calentar el depósito verde 56 de la pantalla de malla de alambre de aleación de almacenamiento de hidrógeno; la mejora estando caracterizada por; aglutinar el depósito verde de la pantalla de malla de alambre de aleación de almacenamiento de hidrógeno 56 en una atmósfera inerte substancialmente libre de oxígeno, anhídra, a fin de liberar la humedad desde ella y enfriar dicha pantalla de malla de alambre de aleación de almacenamiento de hidrógeno aglutinada en una atmósfera de hidrógeno controlada a fin de impartir una carga parcial a la misma.
