Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una solución acuosa para separar sulfuro de hidrógeno de corrientes gaseosas, caracterizada porque comprende: iones metálicos en una concentración de por lo menos aproximadamente 100 ppm; un agente quelatador, en una cantidad por lo menos equimolar con el ion metálico; un compuesto regulador, en una concentración suficiente para dar un pH entre 4 y 11; y un estabilizador, en una cantidad suficiente para retardar la degradación del agente quelatador, siendo el estabilizador compuesto aromáticos solubles en agua, iones yoduro, iones bromuro, cianuros, nitritos, aminoácidos, azúcares, ascorbatos, alcoholes, polioles, aldehidos alifáticos, compuestos orgánicos solubles que tienen ligaduras insaturadas de carbono a carbono, sulfóxido de dimetilo, disulfuros orgánicos, alquilaminas, formiatos y combinaciones de ellos.
