Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a unas mejoras en un aparato amortiguador destinado a un enganche de remolque de servicio a larga distancia montado sobre un vagón de ferrocarril, para amortiguar las cargas longitudinales transmitidas entre el vagón de ferrocarril y el remolque de servicio a larga distancia sujeto al enganche, el remolque tiene un pivote central; el enganche comprende un montante generalmente vertical sujeto al vagón de ferrocarril; una cabeza del enganche contenida en el montante vertical; la cabeza del enganche tiene un dispositivo que sujeta el pivote central a dicha cabeza; las mejoras se caracterizan en que el aparato amortiguador tiene un extremo sujeto al vagón, y su otro extremo sujeto al montante vertical; el aparato amortiguador se dispone de manera de amortiguar dichas cargas longitudinales y comprende: una armazón, un dispositivo elastomérico comprimible contenido en la armazón para amortiguar las cargas longitudinales, y un dispositivo interpuesto entre el montante vertical y la armazón, y que sirve para comprimir el dispositivo elastomérico con relación a la armazón, después de aplicar al enganche una carga longitudinal en una dirección orientada hacia adelante o hacia atrás con relación al vagón de ferrocarril, el dispositivo elastomérico comprende múltiples placas elastoméricas de forma generalmente anular, cada una de las cuales tiene una abertura central, una superficie periférica exterior, y un par de caras de carga, generalmente paralelas, para transmitir dicha fuerza de compresión a las placas elastoméricas, la diversidad de placas elastoméricas alterna con múltiples arandelas no comprimibles, de preferencia, arandelas metálicas; cada cara de carga de cada placa elastomérica se acopla friccionalmente con una cara contigua respectiva de una de las arandelas, aunque sin unirse a esta cara.
