Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un material producido de un metal de base, que tiene una estructura capaz de experimentar una transformación alotrópica y que tiene temperaturas de transformación superior e inferior de calentamiento continuas, caracterizado porque el metal de base se deformo a un régimen lo suficientemente rápido para producir un régimen de cambio en la energía interna del metal de base, suficientes para reducir las temperaturas de transformación alotrópica e inducir una transformación alotrópica que haya ocurrido en una porción del metal de base y el material comprende: en sección transversal: una primera región que consiste esencialmente de granos equiáxicos y que se extienden hacia adentro desde una superficie del material hasta una profundidad finita debajo de la superficie, en donde esencialmente todo el metal de base situado en la primera región logró una temperatura igual o mayor que la temperatura de transformación superior y de esta manera se transformo en los granos esencialmente equiáxicos; una segunda región. que comprende esencialmente de granos no transformados y situados dentro del resto del material, en donde esencialmente todo el metal de base situado en la segunda región logró una temperatura menor que la temperatura de transformación más baja y de esta manera no se transformo; y una tercer región, situada entre la primera y segunda regiones, que consiste esencialmente de granos tanto equiáxicos como no transformados, en donde el metal de base situado en la tercera región logró una temperatura mayor que o igual a la temperatura de transformación más baja y de esta manera experimento por o menos una transformación parcial.
