Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento continuo para destoxificar una corriente de clorocarburo de desecho, para ser puesta en contacto con un catalizador de oxidación adversamente sensible a la presencia de hierro, el cual comprende, a) poner en contacto etileno con cloro, en 1,2-dicloroetano predominantemente líquido, en la presencia de suficiente catalizador de cloración que contiene hierro, para porporcionar de 2000 ppm a 4000 ppm de hierro, como Fe elemental, a una temperatura en el margen de 90 a 120 grados C y a un presión superatmosférica debajo de 25 psig, en un reactor de cloración.
