Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición de materia que comprende una mezcla de cloruro de polivinilo clorado, que tiene un contenido en cloro no menor de un 60 ni mayor de un 66 por ciento en peso y un polimetilmetacrilato, este polimetilmetacrilato comprendiendo no más de 80 por ciento en peso de la mezcla, dicha mezcla posee una temperatura de transición a vidrio de tipo simple. Un método para mejorar la procesabilidad de fusión y las características físicas del cloruro de polivinilo clorado, que comprende las etapas de proporcionar un cloruro de polivinilo clorado que tenga un contenido en cloro de al menos un 60 y no mayor de un 66 por ciento en peso; proporcionar un polimetilmetacrilato; y mezclar el cloruro de polivinilo clorado y el polimetilmetacrilato para formar una composición que tiene no más de un 80 por ciento en peso de polimetilmetacrilato.
