Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the flame retardancy and heat resistance, and to reduce initial color of the title composition, by incorporating one type of chlorinated paraffin and zinc borate, a lead stabilizer, and a polyhydric alcohol into a chlorine- containing resin.
CONSTITUTION: A resin composition prepared by kneading (A) 100 parts by wt. of a chlorine-containing resin with (B) 1W50 parts by wt. of one type of chlorinated paraffin and zinc borate, (C) 0.05W10 parts by wt. of a lead stabilizer, e.g. white lead or tribasic lead sulfate, and (D) 0.1W5 parts by wt. of a polyhydric alcohol, at a suitable temperature.
