Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato para detectar o registrar automáticamente la configuración de un área de superficie de un objeto y realizar sobre ella una función de trabajo, el aparato está caracterizado porque comprende una pista o carril conectable en relación a la superficie, un miembro de robot accionado por un motor conectable a la pista, el miembro de robot tiene un elemento motorizado provisto con medios de acoplamiento de carril encajados en el carril para desplazar el miembro de robot a una velocidad predeterminada y en una posición predeterminada a lo largo de la pista, un brazo de trabajo acoplado de manera desplazable al miembro de robot, el brazo de trabajo tiene una o más herramientas conectables a él, un circuito de control asociado con el miembro de robot para desplazarlo y operar el brazo de trabajo y la herramienta, un sensor conectado al brazo de trabajo y que tiene un detector para medir la distancia que se encuentra a lo largo de una normal de la superficie o que es representativa de la superficie o de cualquier superficie calculada por el circuito de control y que se supone que es representativa de la superficie en um medio de trabajo delineado del miembro de robot y del brazo de trabajo, el sensor alimenta los datos de información de las coordenadas X, Y y Z al circuito de control para determinar la geometría de la superficie del medio de control y contornear áreas en el medio de trabajo que requiera que se efectúe un procedimiento de trabajo por una o más de las herramientas de trabajo.
