Abstract

The invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to nutrient media for Haematococcus pluvialis green alga cultivation, used as source of ?-carotene and astaxanthin. Summary of the invention consists in that it is proposed a nutrient medium for Haematococcus pluvialis green alga cultivation, containing NaNO3, KH2PO4, NaCl, CaCl2, MgSO4 7H2O, ZnSO4 7H2O, CuSO4 5H2O, H3BO3, FeCl3 6H2O, Co(NO3)2 H2O, EDTA, distilled water and sources of the cations Mo6+ and Mn2+.
