Abstract

La présente invention concerne un broyeur à cylindres (1) pour le broyage de matière particulaire telles que des matières premières à base de ciment, les scories de ciment et de matières analogues. Ledit broyeur à cylindres (1) comporte un carter de broyeur (2) renfermant une table de broyage (3) et un ensemble de cylindres aptes à être entraînés en rotation autour d'un arbre vertical (4), ledit ensemble de cylindres étant configuré pour un fonctionnement interactif avec la table de broyage (3) et comportant une pluralité de cylindres (5) dont chacun est entraîné en rotation autour d'un arbre porte-galets (6) qui est relié à l'arbre vertical (4) par une connexion articulée (7) avec un centre de rotation (8) qui permet un mouvement circulaire libre du cylindre (5) dans une direction vers le haut et vers le bas dans un plan comprenant l'axe de l'arbre porte-galets (6), ledit centre de rotation (8) de la connexion articulée (7) dans un plan vertical étant situé sous l'axe (9) de l'arbre porte-galets (6). Le broyeur à cylindres est caractérisé en ce que la table de broyage (3) est apte à être entraînée en rotation autour de l'arbre vertical (4) et en ce que l'arbre porte-galets (1) comporte des moyens (10, 11) permettant l'introduction de gaz dans le carter de broyeur (2) et des moyens (12) permettant la déviation en continu de matière broyée suspendue dans des gaz hors du carter de broyeur (2). Cela permet donc un procédé de broyage en continu au fur et à mesure du transport de matière alimentée vers la table de broyage à travers la table de broyage, grâce aux forces centrifuges auxquelles est soumise la matière en raison de la rotation de la table de broyage, vers les cylindres où elle est broyée et ultérieurement suspendue dans le gaz introduit dans le carter de broyeur, d'où la matière broyée en suspension est ensuite déviée à travers un orifice de sortie relié au carter de broyeur.
