Abstract

The present invention relates to a stepless belt transmission. The stepless belt transmission (20) comprises a first shaft (1); a second shaft (2); an adjustable V-belt pulley (3) mounted on the first shaft (1). The transmission (20) comprises a toothed pulley (6) fixed on the second shaft (2) and a toothed V-belt (7) arranged on the adjustable V-belt pulley (3) and the driven toothed pulley (6) to transmit power from the V-belt pulley (3) to the toothed pulley (6). The transmission (20) further comprises a belt tensioner (8) arranged between the V-belt pulley (3) and the toothed pulley (6). The belt tensioner (8) comprises two tensioning pulleys (10; 11) disposed to each other and the outside periphery of the toothed V-belt (7) so that the tensioning pulleys (10; 11) can apply a force to both sides of the toothed V-belt (7) tensioning said V-belt (7) from both sides.
