Abstract

채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치. 상기 채널 신호는 일련의 정보 블록(BLOCK)을 포함하고, 정보 블록은 동기 워드(SYNC) 및 다수의 채널 워드(cw1, cw2, ㆍㆍㆍ)를 포함한다. 상기 정보 신호는 일련의 정보 워드를 포함한다. 상기 장치는, 채널 신호를 수신하는 입력 단자(1)와, 상기 채널 워드를 정보 워드로 변환시키는 변환 수단(3)을 포함한다. 또한, 에러 은폐 수단(6)이 존재한다. 얻어진 정보 신호는 출력단자(8)에 제공된다. 상기 변환 수단(3)은, 수신된 채널 워드가 유효 채널 워드 그룹에 속하지 않는가를 확인하는 채널 워드 검출기(20 내)를 포함한다. 만약 그렇다면, 상기 채널 워드 검출기는 상기 검출에 따라 검출 신호를 제공하기에 적합하다. 이는 디코딩 장치의 비동기를 확인하기 위해 검출 신호가 카운트되도록 할 수 있다.

Claims (8)

  1. 채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치로서, 상기 채널 신호는 일련의 정보 블록을 갖고, 상기 정보 블록은 동기 워드 및 다수의 채널 워드를 갖고, 상기 정보 신호는 일련의 정보 워드를 포함하며, -상기 채널 신호를 수신하는 입력 수단과, -상기 채널 워드를 정보 워드로 변환하는 변환 수단과, -상기 정보 신호를 제공하는 출력수단을 포함하는, 채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치에 있어서, 상기 변한 수단이 수신된 채널 워드가 유효 채널 워드의 그룹에 속하지 않는 가를 확인하는 채널 워드 검출 수단을 포함하고, 상기 채널 워드 검출 수단은 상기 검출에 따라 검출 신호를 제공하기에 적합한 것을 특징으로 하는 채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 채널 신호는 일련의 정보 블록을 포함하고, 정보 블록은 동기 워드 및 다수의 m-비트 채널 워드를 포함하고, 상기 정보 신호는 일련의 n-비트 정보 워드를 포함하며, 여기서 m과 n은 정수이고 m은 n보다 크며, 상기 변환 수단은 m-비트 채널 워드를 n-비트 정보 워드로 변환시키기에 적합한 것을 특징으로 하는 채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치.
  3. 제 1 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 변환 수단은 하나의 시간 주기동안 생성되는 검출 신호의 수를 카운트하는 카운트 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치.
  4. 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 변환 수단은 상기 카운트 수단에서 카운트된 검출 신호의 수를 임계값과 비교하는 비교기 수단을 포함하고, 상기 비교기 수단은 상기 임계값을 초과하는 검출 신호의 수에 따라 제어 신호를 생성하기에 적합한 것을 특징으로 하는 채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치.
  5. 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 변환 수단은 상기 채널 신호에 포함된 동기 워드를 검출하는 동기 워드 검출 수단을 더포함하고, 상기 동기 워드 검출 수단은 상기 제어 신호의 수신에 따라 재동기 모드를 시작하기에 적합한 것을 특징으로 하는 채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치.
  6. 제 1 내지 제 5 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 일련의 정보 워드의 에러를 은폐하기 위한 에러 은폐 수단(concealment means)을 더 포함하고, 상기 에러 은폐 수단은 변환 수단에 이어 연결된 것을 특징으로 하는 채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치.
  7. 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 에러 은폐 수단은 일련의 정보 워드의 에러를 검출하고 정정하는 에러 검출 수단 및 에러 정정 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 채널 신호를 정보 신호로 디코딩하는 장치.
  8. - 기록 캐리어 상이 트랙으로부터 채널 신호를 판독하는 판독 수단으로서, 상기 채널 신호는 일련의 정보 블록을 포함하고, 정보 블록은 동기 워드 및 다수의 채널 워드를 포함하는, 판독 수단과, - 채널 워드를 정보 워드로 변환시키는 변환 수단과, - 정보 워드를 포함하는 정보 신호를 제공하는 출력 수단을 포함하는, 기록 캐리어로부터 정보 신호를 재생하는 재생 장치에 있어서, 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항중 어느 한 항에 기재된 변환 수단이 제공된 것을 특징으로 하는 재생 장치.
