Abstract

텔레비젼 수상기용 인터페이스 시스템은 텔레비젼 수상기의 다양한 구성 회로에 접속된 다수의 콘텍을 갖는 인터페이스 코넥터를 포함한다. 텔레비젼 수상기에 대한 다양한 기능을 제공하기 위해, 인터페이스 시스템은 인터페이스 코넥터에 접속가능한 플러그를 각각 갖는 다양한 회로 보드를 포함한다. 플러그는 인터페이스 코넥터내의 다수의 콘택보다 작거나 같은 수의 콘텍을 포함한다. 회로 보드는 원하는 기능에 따라, 이 기능을 제공하는 회로를 더 포함하는데, 상기 회로는 텔레비젼 수상기내의 적절한 구성 회로를 접속하는 플러그의 적절한 콘택에 상호 접속된다. 인터페이스 시스템을 통해서, 텔레비젼을 개방시키지 않고 회로를 변경하거나 회로에 배선 결합을 하지 않고도 텔레비젼 수상기의 기능을 변경시키거나 업데이트시킬 수 있다.

제3도는 진상 제거에 인터페이스 시스템이 사용되는 표준 텔레비젼 수상기를 도시한 블럭도이며
제7도는 텔레비젼 수상기의 하우징내에 인터페이스 시스템이 어떻게 장착되는지를 도시한 도면이다.

Claims (6)

  1. 텔레비젼 신호를 수신하여 선택적으로 동조하는 튜너와, 이 튜너에 접속되어 상기 텔레비젼 신호에 포함된 동기 신호로부터 편향 신호를 생성시키는 편향 회로와, 상기 튜너에 접속되어 상기 텔레비젼 신호에 포함된 오디오 신호를 처리하는 오디오 신호 처리 회로와, 상기 튜너에 접속되어 상기 텔레비젼 신호에 포함된 비디오 신호를 처리하는 비디오 신호 처리 회로와, 상기 편향 회로 및 비디오 신호 처리 회로에 접속되어 상기 편향 신호에 따라 상기 비디오 신호를 디스플레이하는 디스플레이를 구비한 상기 텔레비젼 수상기용 상기 인터페이스 시스템에 있어서, 상기 인터페이스 시스템이 상기 오디오 신호 처리 회로, 편향 회로 및 비디오 신호 처리 회로에 개별로 접속된 M개(여기서, M은 1보다 큰 정수)리드를 갖는 표준 버스 수단과; 상기 표준 버스 수단내의 M개 리드에 각각 접속된 M개 콘택을 갖는 코넥터 수단과; 상기 텔레비젼 수상기 사용자에 의해 액세스 가능하며, 상기 코넥터 수단내의 적어도 몇몇의 M개 콘택에 각각 대응하는 N개(여기서, N은 M과 동일하거나 또는 작은 정수)콘택을 가지며 상기 코넥터 수단에 접속 가능한 플러그 수단과, 상기 플러그 수단내의 N개 콘택에 접속된 회로 수단을 갖는 회로 보드를 구비하며, 상기 회로 수단이 상기 플러그 수단과, 코넥터 수단 및 표준 버스 수단을 거쳐 텔레비젼 수상기내의 오디오 신호 처리 회로, 비디오 신호 처리 회로 및 편향 회로중의 적어도 하나에 접속될 때 상기 텔레비젼 수상기의 동작을 변경시켜 사용자에 부가 특징으로 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수신기용 인터페이스 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 텔레비젼 수상기가 원격 제어 송신기로부터 원격 제어 신호를 수신하는 원격 제어 수신기와, 상기 원격 제어 수신기로부터의 신호에 적어도 부분적으로 응답하여 상기 텔레비젼 수상기를 제어하는 마이크로컴퓨터를 더 구비하며, 상기 표준 버스 수단은 원격 제어 수신기 및 마이크로컴퓨터에 개별적으로 접속된 리드를 포함하며, 이 원격 제어 수신기 및 마이크로 컴퓨터는 원격 제어 신호가 상기 마이크로컴퓨터에 의해 제어되는 회로 보드상에 회로에 의해 처리되도록 상기 코넥터 수단 및 플러그 수단에 의해 회로 보드에 접속되는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수신기용 인터페이스 시스템.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 인터페이스 시스템은 제2PIP 신호원에 제공하며, 상기 비디오 신호 처리 회로는 PIP회로를 포함하고, 상기 회로 보드상의 회로들은 회로 보드상의 RF입력 단자에 접속된 제2튜너와, 제2튜너의 출력 단자에 접속된 PIP IC와, PIP IC에 접속된 DRAM을 포함하며, 상기 제2튜너와 PIP IC는 텔레비젼 수상기내의 전원 회로와 마이크로컴퓨터에 접속된 인터페이스 코넥터내의 콘택과 접속되는 상기 플러그의 콘택에 접속된 전원 및 제어 입력 단자를 가지며, 상기 PIP IC는 상기 비디오 신호 처리 회로의 신호 입력 및 출력 단자에 접속된 상기 인터페이스 코넥터내의 콘택에 접속되는 상기 플러그내의 콘택에 접속된 신호 입력 및 출력 단자를 가지므로써, 마이크로컴퓨터의 제어하에 제2튜너에 동조되는 텔레비젼 신호는 튜너에 의해 동조되고 PIP 신호로서 비디오 신호 처리 회로에 의해 제공되는 주 비디오 신호내에 삽입되며, 그리고 합성된 비디오 신호가 비디오 신호 처리 회로내의 PIP 회로로 전송되어 상기 튜너에 의해 동조된 비디오 신호와 상기 제2튜너에 의해 동조된 비디오 신호가 동일한 픽쳐 프레임내에 나타나는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수신기용 인터페이스 시스템.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 인터페이스 시스템은 텔레비젼 수상기에 대한 잔상을 제거하고, 상기 텔레비젼 수상기는 텔레비젼 수상기의 기능을 제어하는 마이크로컴퓨터를 더 포함하며, 상기 회로 보도상의 회로는 상기 텔레비젼 수상기의 마이크로컴퓨터와 전원 회로에 접속된 인터페이스 코넥터의 콘택에 접속되는 상기 플러그의 콘택에 접속된 전원 및 제어 입력 단자를 갖는 잔상 제거 IC를 포함하며, 이 잔상 제거 IC는 비디오 신호 처리 회로의 각각의 입력 및 출력에 접속된 인터페이스 코넥터의 콘택에 접속되는 플러그의 콘택에 접속된 신호 입력 및 출력 단자를 더 포함하므로써, 마이크로컴퓨터의 제어하에 비디오 신호 처리 회로가 잔상 제거 IC에 비디오 신호를 제공하며 상기 잔상 제거 IC가 상기 비디오 신호 처리 회로에 잔상없는 비디오 신호를 다시 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수신기용 인터페이스 시스템.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 인터페이스 시스템을 통해 상기 텔레비젼 수상기는 압축 디지탈 비디오 신호를 수신 및 처리할 수 있으며, 상기 텔레비젼 수상기는 텔레비젼 수상기의 기능을 제어하는 마이크로컴퓨터를 더 포함하며, 회로 보드는 RF 반송자상에 변조된 압축 디지털 비디오 신호를 수신하는 RF 입력 단자와, 상기 RF입력 단자에 접속되어 상기 RF 반송자중의 어느 하나를 동조하는 튜너와, 상기 튜너의 출력 단자에 접속되어 RF 반송자를 처리하고 압출 디지털 비디오 신호를 제공하는 전단부와, 상기 전단부의 출력 단자에 접속되어 상기 압축 디지털 비디오 신호를 선택적으로 스크램블 해제하는 전송부와, 상기 전송부의 출력 단자에 접속되어 상기 압축 디지털 비디오 신호를 압축 해제하는 압축 해제 회로와 상기 압축 해제 회로의 출력 단자에 접속되어 분리된 휘도 및 색도 성분 신호를 제공하는 인코더를 포함하며, 상기 회로 보드는 상기 압축 해제 회로의 출력 단자에 접속되어 디지털 오디오 신호를 제공하는 오디오 인터페이스와, 상기 전송부의 입력 및 출력 단자에 접속되어 압축 디지털 비디오 신호를 디스크램블하는 디스크램블 회로와, 상기 디스크램블 회로에 접속되어 디스크램블 회로를 제어하고 그래픽 제어회로에 접속되어 디스플레이용 그래픽을 생성시키는 다른 마이크로컴퓨터를 더 포함하며, 상기 그래픽 제어 회로는 인코더의 입력 단자에 접속되고, 상기 회로 보드는 RF 입력 단자에 접속되어 상기 다른 마이크로컴퓨터로부터 신호를 송신하는 모뎀을 더 포함하고, 각각의 상기 구성 요소는 상기 전원 회로와 마이크로컴퓨터에 접속된 인터페이스 코넥터내의 콘택을 접속하는 상기 플러그의 콘택에 접속된 전원 및 제어 입력 단자를 가지며, 그리고 상기 구성 요소인 오디오 인터페이스 및 인코더는 상기 오디오 신호 처리 회로 및 비디오 신호 처리 회로의 입력단자에 접속된 인터페이스 코넥터의 콘택을 접속하는 플러그내의 콘택에 접속된 신호 출력 단자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수신기용 인터페이스 시스템.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 인코더는 대안적으로 상기 비디오 신호 처리 회로내의 아날로그 RGB 입력 단자에 접속된 인터페이스 코넥터내의 콘택을 접속하는 플러그내의 분리된 콘택에 인가되는 아날로그 RGB 신호를 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수신기용 인터페이스 시스템.
