Abstract
일정 방향으로 트위스트되도록 배향규제력이 부여된 배향막이 내측에 형성된 상하기판 사이로 삽입된 액정층으로 구성된 액정셀내에 배향규제력에 의해 결정되는 액정분자의 트위스트방향과 반대방향의 트위스트성질을 보유하는 카이랄도판트를 첨가한 후, 액정셀에 높은 전압을 인가하고 다시 벤드구조가 유지되는 최소의 전압까지 전압을 낮추어서 형성된 벤드구조가 안정되게 한다.

제5도는 본 발명에 따른 트위스트네마틱 벤드 액정셀의 구조를 나타내는 도면이고, (a)는 배향방향이 결정된 액정셀에 액정이 주입된 것을 나타내는 도면이고, (b)는 (a)의 Y-Y'선 단면도이고, (c)는 액정에 카이랄도판트가 첨가된 경우의 단면도이며, (d)는 전압을 인가했을 때의 단면도.
Claims (8)
- 서로 다른 방향의 배향방향이 결정된 상하기판 사이에 주입된 액정에 카이랄도판트를 액정에 첨가하는 단계와, 상기한 액정셀에 전합(Vsat)을 인가하는 단계와, 상기한 액정셀에 인가되는 전압을 일정 전압(Vc)으로 다시 낮추는 단계로 구성된 트위스트네마틱 벤드 액정셀 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기한 액정이 좌수 트위스트되는 것을 특징으로 하는 트위스트네마틱 벤드 액정셀 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기한 카이랄도판트가 우수 카이랄도판트인 것을 특징으로 하는 트위스트네마틱 벤드 액정셀 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기한 전압(Vc)이 벤드구조가 유지되는 최소 전압인 것을 특징으로 하는 트위스트네마틱 액정셀 제조방법.
- 상하기판에 배향막을 성막하는 단계와, 배향막이 성막된 상하 기판에 배향방향을 결정하는 단계와, 상기한 기판 사이로 액정을 주입하는 단계와, 상기한 액정에 카이랄도판트를 첨가하는 단계와, 액정셀에 전압(Vsat)을 인가하는 단계와, 상기한 액정셀에 인가되는 전압을 일정 전압(Vc)으로 다시 낮추는 단계로 구성된 액정표시장치 제조방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기한 액정이 좌수 트위스트되는 것을 특징으로 하는 트위스트네마틱 벤드 액정셀 제조방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기한 카이랄도판트가 우수 카이랄도판트인 것을 특징으로 하는 트위스트네마틱 벤드 액정셀 제조방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기한 전압(Vc)이 벤드구조가 유지되는 최소 전압인 것을 특징으로 하는 트위스트네마틱 액정셀 제조방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
