Abstract

본 발명은 소량의 산소를 함유하는 질소가 풍부한 기체를 예열하는, 열처리 대기의 형성 방법에 관한 것이다. 탄화수소 기체와 같은 산소-반응성 기체를 질소가 풍부한 기체와 혼합하고, 이 혼합물을 그 보다 높은 온도에서 그을음이 거의 일어나지 않는 온도의 노(furnace)의 외부에서 반응시킨다. 그 다음, 생성된 열처리 대기를 노로 보내어 열처리 공정을 수행한다.

제1도는 본 발명에 따라 열처리 대기를 형성하기 적합한 장치를 개략적으로 도시한 것이다. 제2도는 제1도의 장치에 사용되는 가열 챔버의 단면도이다.

Claims (3)

  1. a) 질소가 풍부한 기체로 이루어진 기체를 예열 온도로 예열하는 단계; b) 예열된 질소가 풍부한 기체에 산소-반응성 기체를 첨가하여 그을음이 거의 일어나지 않는 반응 온도에서 반응 혼합물을 형성하는 단계; c) 상기 반응 온도에서 반응 혼합물을 반응시켜 촉매의 부재하에 열처리 대기를 형성하는 단계; d) 열처리 대기를 노(furnace)에 전달하는 단계; 및 e) 상기 노에서 상기 열처리 대기의 존재하에 금속을 열처리하는 단계를 포함하는, 금속의 열처리 방법.
  2. a) 질소가 풍부한 기체로 이루어진 기체를 400℃를 초과하는 예열 온도로 예열하는 단계; b) 예열된 질소가 풍부한 기체에 산소-반응성 기체를 첨가하여 반응 온도에서 반응 혼합물을 형성하는 단계; c) 상기 반응온도에서 반응 혼합물을 반응시켜 열처리 대기를 형성하는 단계; d) 열처리 대기를 노에 전달하는 단계; 및 e) 상기 노에서 상기 열처리 대기의 존재하에 금속을 열처리하는 단계를 포함하는, 금속의 열처리 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 귀금속 촉매 및 비금속 촉매로 이루어진 그룹에서 선택된 촉매의 존재하에 반응 혼합물을 반응시키는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
