Abstract

내연기관용 피스톤은 연소실내로 개방된 공기실을 형성하는 삽입체를 포함한다. 상기 삽입체는 희망의 형태를 취할 수 있으며, 피스톤은 삽입체의 주위에 캐스팅되므로써 피스톤의 구조내에 삽입체를 고정하는 수단을 제공한다. 상기 삽입체는 피스톤내에 완전히 위치될 수 있으며, 피스톤의 외측면위로 연장되는 플래지부를 포함한다.

Claims (22)

  1. 삽입체를 형성하는 단계와, 상기 삽입체를 피스톤 다이 또는 로드에 대해 위치시키는 단계와, 상기 피스톤을 상기 다이나 몰드에 캐스팅하는 단계를 포함하며, 상기 삽입체는 피스톤이 캐스팅될 때 그 형성된 피스톤의 일체부를 형성하도록 피스톤 다이 또는 몰드에 대해 위치되며, 상기 삽입체는 그 적어도 일부가 피스톤 크라운내에 형성된 연소실내로 개방된 공기실을 한정하도록 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 피스톤이 캐스팅될 때 연소실내로 돌출되는 숄더가 형성되도록 상기 삽입체를 피스톤 다이에 대해 위치시키는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 숄더를 연소실의 마우스 근처에 형성하는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  4. 상술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 피스톤이 캐스팅될 때 피스톤 크라운내에 완전히 위치되도록 삽입체를 피스톤 다이 또는 몰드에 대해 위치시키는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항에 있어서, 삽입체를 형성하는 단계와, 피스톤이 캐스팅될 때 그 일부가 피스톤 크라운의 상면위로 연장되도록 삽입체를 피스톤 다이 또는 몰드에 대해 위치시키는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  6. 상술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 그 표면의 일부가 상기 연소실을 경계짓는 연소 보울을 포함하는 표면의 적어도 일부를 형성하도록 삽입체를 형성하는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  7. 상술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 피스톤을 캐스팅하기 전에 삽입체에 적어도 하나의 개구를 형성하는 단계를 부가로 포함하며, 상기 개구는 공기실과 연소실을 연결시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  8. 제1항 내지 제6항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 피스톤이 캐스팅된 후 상기 삽입체에 적어도 하나의 개구를 형성하는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  9. 상술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 연소 보울의 일부를 형성하는 표면의 일부로 개방되도록 상기 삽입체에 적어도 하나의 개구를 형성하는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  10. 상술한 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 피스톤이 캐스팅된 후 삽입체로부터 용이하게 제거될 수 있는 코어재료에 의해 상기 삽입체를 피스톤 다이 또는 몰드에 대해 위치시키는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 연소 보울의 적어도 일부를 형성하는 일부의 표면상에서 상기 코어재료를 삽입체와 연결하는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  12. 제11항에 있어서, 코어재료가 부착될 삽입체의 표면 일부의 형상과 일치하도록 삽입체를 상기 코어의 단부상에 위치시키므로써 삽입체를 코어재료에 부착하는 단계를 부가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤 제조방법.
  13. 피스톤 몸체와, 상기 피스톤 몸체의 크라운에 형성된 연소실을 형성하는 연소 보울과, 연소실내로 개방되고 상기 피스톤 크라운에 함유된 삽입체에 의해 경계되는 공기실을 포함하며, 상기 삽입체는 공기실과 연소실 사이를 연결시키는 적어도 하나의 개구를 포함하며, 상기 피스톤은 삽입체와 일체가 되도록 캐스팅되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 삽입체는 연소실내로 돌출되는 캐스트 숄더에 의해 피스톤 크라운에 지지되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤.
  15. 제13항 또는 제14항에 있어서, 상기 숄더는 연소실의 마우스 또는 마우스 근처에 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤.
  16. 제13항 내지 제15항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 삽입체는 피스톤 크라운에 완전히 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤.
  17. 제13항 내지 제15항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 삽입체는 피스톤 크라운의 상면위로 연장되는 플랜지부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤.
  18. 제17항에 있어서, 상기 플랜지부는 피스톤 크라운의 림부를 둘러싸는 하방으로 연장되는 외측 링을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 피스톤.
