Abstract

본 발명은 광 이용효율이 높고, 종래에 비해 낮은 구면수차를 가지는 광학 장치에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 광픽업장치의 광학 장치는, 디스크에 대면하는 그 몸체의 광통과영역인 상기 광 진행 중심축을 중심으로 입사광의 근축영역과 원축영역의 상이의 고리형 중간영역으로 구분되고, 상기 근축영역과 원축영역의 곡률은 얇은 디스크에 대해 최적화되어 있고, 중간 영역의 곡률은 두꺼운 디스크에 최적화된 면을 가지는 대물렌즈와, 상기 대물렌즈를 통하여 상기 디스크로 광을 조사하는 광원과, 상기 디스크로부터 반사된 광을 검출하는 광검출기와, 상기 대물렌즈와 상기 광원의 사이에 마련되어, 상기 광원으로부터의 광을 투과 또는 반사시켜 상기 대물렌즈측으로 광을 통과시키고, 상기 디스크로부터 반사된 빛은 상기 광검출기측으로 반사 또는 투과시키도록 하는 광분할기를 구비한다.
이상과 같은 본 발명에 의하면, 두꺼운 CD와 얇은 DVD 디스크의 호환하여 사용할 수 있고 특히 디스크의 두께에 관계없이 양호한 신호의 검출이 가능하다. 또한 본 발명에 따른 렌즈를 일반적인 압축성형 또는 사출성형 등에 의해 손쉽게 제작할 수 있기 때문에 제작단가의 하락이 일어나는 잇점이 있다.

Claims (5)

  1. 본 발명에 따른 광픽업장치의 광학 장치는, 디스크에 대면하는 그 몸체의 광통과영역인 상기 광 진행 중심축을 중심으로 입사광의 근축영역과 원축영역의 사이의 고리형 중간영역으로 구분되고, 상기 근축영역과 원축영역의 곡률은 얇은 디스크에 대해 최적화되어 있고, 중간 영역의 곡률은 두꺼운 디스크에 최적화된 면을 가지는 대물렌즈와, 상기 대물렌즈를 통하여 상기 디스크로 광을 조사하는 광원과, 상기 디스크로부터 반사된 광을 검출하는 광검출기와, 상기 대물렌즈와 상기 광원의 사이에 마련되어, 상기 광원으로부터의 광을 투과 또는 반사시켜 상기 대물렌즈측으로 광을 통과시키고, 상기 디스크로부터 반사된 빛은 상기 광검출기측으로 반사 또는 투과시키도록 하는 광분할기를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광검출기는 두꺼운 디스크로부터 정보를 재생할 때 근축영역과 중간영역의 광만이 도달될 수 있도록 된 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광검출기는 얇은 디스크로부터 정보를 재생할 때 근축영역과 원축영역과 광만이 도달되도록 된 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중간영역을 고리형상을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중간영역은 상기 대물렌즈의 일측 또는 양측에 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학장치.
