Abstract

본 발명은 연료주입시 또는 차량의 충돌사고에 의한 액상의 연료가 외부로 누출되는 현상을 방지하는, 연료탱크의 가스벤트장치에 관한 것으로, 연료탱크(10)의 상부 공간에 벤트 밸브(40)를 설치하여 밴트 파이프(30)와 연결하고, 벤트 밸브의 상·하부에 배출공(42c)과 유입공(42b)을 형성하며, 또한 벤트 밸브(40)의 밸브 몸체(42)에 스프링(46)을 갖는 플로오트 밸브(47)를 포함하고, 플로오트 밸브(47)의 상방에 오리피스(48)를 형성하여, 벤트 밸브(40)의 유입공(42b)을 통해 작용하는 가스의 압력에 의해 플로오트 밸브(47)와 오리피스(48)의 개폐량을 조정하도록 된 것이다.

Claims (5)

  1. 연료탱크의 상부에 벤트 밸브를 설치하고, 벤트 밸브에 벤트 파이프를 연결하여,연료탱크의 내부압력에 따라 가스의 배기량이 자동 조정되도록 함과 동시에 연료의 누출을 방지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료탱크의 가스벤트장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 벤트 밸브는, 밸브 몸체의 하부에 형성된 유입공 및 유입공을 통해 작용하는 가스압력에 의해 개폐량이 조정되는 스프링을 갖는 플로오트 밸브, 상부에 형성되고 벤트 파이프가 연결되는 배출공을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 연료탱크의 가스벤트장치.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 플로오트 밸브에 의해 개폐량이 조정되도록 밸브 몸체에 오리피스가 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 연료탱크의 가스벤트장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 벤트 밸브는, 연료탱크의 어퍼 패널을 통해 관통되어 탱크의 내부에 위치되고, 그 밸브 몸체의 상단에 플랜지가 형성되어 어퍼 패널에 고정, 설치된 것을 특징으로 하는 연료탱크의 가스벤트장치.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 밸브 몸체와 연료탱크의 어퍼 패널 사이에 스페리서 레버를 개재, 설치한 것을 특징으로 하는 연료탱크의 가스벤트장치.
