Abstract

본 발명은 전계방출 표시소자에 관한 것으로서, 배면기판에 애노드와 게이트 및 캐소드를 순차적으로 형성하고, 제어홀을 형성하며, 상기 제어홀측으로 연장되어 배면기판쪽으로 절곡된 캐소드의 첨예부를 에미터로 하고, 상기 제어홀을 통하여 노출된 애노드상에 형광체를 형성하여 FED를 형성하였으므로, 전계 방출원의 면적이 증가되어 FED의 발광휘도가 향상되며, 전류 제어로도 계조처리가 이루어져 고발광 휘도와 우수한 제어특성을 가지고, 애노드가 배면기판 상에 형성되므로 애노드 전극 인출 방법이 쉬워진다.

Claims (4)

  1. 배면기판상에 형성되어 있는 애노드와, 상기 애노드 상에 형성되어 있는 제1절연층과, 상기 제1절연층상에 형성되어 있는 게이트와, 상기 게이트상에 형성되어 있는 제2절연층과, 상기 제2절연층 상에 형성되어 있는 캐소드와, 상기 배면기판에서 발광부로 예정되어 있는 부분상의 캐소드에서 제1절연층까지 순차적으로 제거되어 애노드를 노출시키는 제어홀과, 상기 캐소드의 제거홀측 단부가 연장되어 있는 첨예부로된 에미터와, 상기 제어홀을 통하여 노출되어 있는 애노드의 상측에 형성되어 있는 형광층을 구비하는 전계방출 표시소자.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 에미터의 첨예부가 배면기판 방향으로 절곡되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전계방출 표시소자.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 에미터를 원형, 사각형 및 다각형으로 이루어지는 군에서 임의로 선택되는 하나의 형상으로 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전계방출 표시소자.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제어홀을 통하여 노출되어 있는 애노드가 상기 배면기판에 형성된 홈을 메우는 구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 전계방출 표시소자.
