Abstract

1. 청구 범위에 기재된 발명이 속한 기술분야
씨디롬(CD-ROM) 드라이브에 있어서 성능 테스트 방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 CD-ROM드라이브를 퍼스널 컴퓨터에 연결 시키지 않고 성능을 신속하게 테스트할 수 있는 씨디롬(CD-ROM)드라이브의 성능 테스트 방법에 관한 것.
2. 발명이 해결하려고 하는 기술적 과제
CD-ROM드라이브를 퍼스널 컴퓨터에 연결 시키지 않고 지기진단을 하는 방법으로 CD-ROM내부에 테스트모드를 설정하여 CD-ROM의 서보가 이상상태가 있을시 이상 상태를 경보 및 표시나 트레이를 구동하여 불량여부를 알 수 있도록 하는 방법을제공함.
3. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
CD-ROM 드라이버의 양산 테스트 방법에 있어서, 상기 CD-ROM드라이브 셀프테스트 모드에 있는지를 확인하고, 상기 셀프테스트 모드에 있을시 램덤억세스 테스트 횟수를 N횟수를 세팅하고 이의실행 여부를 체킹하며, 상기 N횟수를 실행 했을때트레이를 온한다. 드리고 상기 이 횟수를 실행중 에러의 발생을 카운트하며, 상기 에러카운트 값이 5회 이상이며 트레이를 반복하여 온/오프하여 이상이 있음을 알리고 5회 이내이면 랜덤어드레스를 세팅하고 탐색을 시작하여 상기 과정을 실행함.

Claims (1)

  1. CD-ROM 드라이버의 양산 테스트 방법에 있어서, 상기 CD-ROM드라이브 셀프테스트 모드에 있는지를 확인하여 제1과정과, 상기 제1과정의 셀프테스트 모드에 있을시 랜덤억세스 테스트 횟수를 N횟수로 세팅하고 이의실행 여부를체킹하는 제2과정과, 상기 제2과정에서 N횟수를 실행 했을때 트레이를 온하는 제3과정과, 상기 제3과정에서 이 횟수를 실행중 에러의 발생을 카운트하는 제4과정과, 상기 제4과정의 에러카운트 값이 5회 이상이면 트레이를 반복하여 온/오프하여 이상이 있음을 알리고 5회 이내이면 램덤어드레스를 세팅하고 탐색을 시작하여 상기 제2과정을 실행하는 제5과정으로이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 씨디롬(CD-ROM) 드라이브의 자기진단 방법.
