Abstract

본 발명은 브이오디(VOD:Video On Demand)용 멀티 인터페이스 시스템에 관한 것으로서, 특히 NIU(엔아이유:Network Interface Unit)가 내장된 메인 셋탑박스(Set Top Box)와 NIU가 없는 부 셋탑박스를 구비하여 메인 셋탑박스에 다수의 부 셋탑박스를 연결사용 함으로서 한가정 또는 인접된 지역에서 동일 채널에서 제공되는 영상을 여러곳에서 동시에 시청할 수 있고, 또한 각기 다른 영상을 독립적으로 시청할 수 있도록 한 브이오디용 멀리 인터페이스 시스템에 관한 것이다.
그러나, 종래의 셋탑박스는 하나의 셋탑박스로 하나의 메뉴 선택이 가능하기 때문에 한가정 또는 인접된 지역에서 동일 채널에서 제공되는 영상을 여러곳에서 동시에 시청할 수 없으며, 또한 하나의 메뉴를 시청하면서 다른 메뉴를 동시 선택할 수 없는 문제점이 있다.
따라서, 상기 문제점을 해결하기 위한 본 발명은 NIU가 내장된 메인 셋탑박스와 NIU가 없는 부 셋탑박스를 구비하여 메인 셋탑박스에 다수의 부 셋탑박스를 연결사용함으로써 한가정 또는 인접된 지역에서 동일 채널에서 제공되는 영상을 여러곳에서 동시에 시청할 수 있고, 또한 각기 다른 영상을 독립적으로 시청할 수 있도록 한 브이도이용 멀티인터페이스 시스템이다.

Claims (3)

  1. 콘트롤부(40)의 제어에 따라 전송라인을 통해 입력되는 RF신호중 일정채널용 선택한 후 복조하여 원래의 영상 디지탈 데이타를 데이타 처리부(30) 도는 임의의 부 셋탑박스(50-1~5-0-N)로 출력하는 NIU(20)와, 상기 NIU(20)에서 출력된 영상 디지탈 데이타가 TV에 영상 출력될 수 있도록 영상 처리하여 TV로 출력하는 데이타 처리부(30)와, 메인 셋탑박스(100)를 사용하는 사용자가 선택한 메뉴에 해당하는 영상 데이타가 데이타 처리부(30)로 공급되도록 NIU(20)를 제어하고, 각각의 부 셋탑박스(50-1~5-0-N)에서 요구한 메뉴에 해당하는 영상 데이타가 각각의 부 셋탑박스(50-1~5-0-N)로 공급되도록 NIU(20)를 제어하는 콘트롤부(40)로 구성된 메인 셋탑박스(100)와; 상기 메인 셋탑박스(100)와 인터페이스되어 사용자가 선택한 메뉴를 메인 셋탑박스(100)의 콘트롤부(40)로 요구하고, NIU(20)로부터 공급되는 영상 데이타가 TV에 영상출력될 수 있도록 영상처리하여 TV로 출력하는 다수의 부 셋탑박스(50-1~5-0-N)로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 브이오디(VOD)용 멀티 인터페이스 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 NIU(20)는 케이블 TV의 주파수 대역으로 MPEG 압축, 변조되어 전송라인을 통해 입력되는 RF신호중 일정채널을 선택하는 튜너(21)와, 상기 튜너(21)에서 선택된 영상신호의 주파수특성이 좋게하는 소우필터(22)와, 상기 소우필터(22)에서 출력된 영상신호를 디지탈신호로 변환시키는 A/D변환기(23)와, 상기 A/D변환기(23)에서 출력된 디지탈 데이타를 원래의 영상 디지탈 데이타로 복조하는 복조기(24)와, 상기 복조기(24)에서 복원된 디지탈 데이타가 전송라인을 통해 전송되는 과정에서 발생한 전송에러를 보상하여 데이타 검출부(26)로 출력하는 전송에러 보상기(25)와, 콘트롤부(40)의 제어에 따라 상기 전송에러 보상기(25)에서 출력된 영상 디지탈 데이타중 일정 PID에 해당하는 스트림을 검출하여 영상 데이타와 음성 데이타를 분리 출력하는 데이타 검출부(26)와, 상기 콘트롤부(40)의 제어에 따라 각각의 부 셋탑박스(50-1~5-0-N)에서 요청한 PID에 해당하는 영상 및 음성 디지탈 데이타를 상기 전송에러 보상기(25)에서 출력된 영상 디지탈 데이타로부터 검출하여 각각의 인터페이스 송신부(28-1~28-N)로 출력하는 제1 내지 제N데이타 검출부(27-1~27-N)와, 상기 제1 내지 제N 데이타 검출부(27-1~27-N)에서 출력된 영상 및 음성 디지탈 데이타를 각각의 부 셋탑박스(50-1~5-0-N)로 전송하는 제1내지 N인터페이스 송신부(28-1~28-N)로 구성되며, 상기 데이타 처리부(30)는 NIU(20)의 데이타 검출부(26)에서 출력된 영상 디지탈 데이타를 MPEG 디코딩하여 원래의 영상 디지탈 데이타로 복원하는 MPEG 영상 디코더(31)와, 상기 데이타 검출부(26)에서 출력된 음성 디지탈 데이타를 MPEG 디코딩하여 음성 디지탈 데이타로 복원하는 MPEG 음성 디코더(33)와, 상기 MPEG 영상 디코더(31)와 MPEG 음성 디코더(33)에서 각각 디코딩되어 출력된 영상 및 음성 디지탈 데이타가 TV 화면상에 출력될 수 있도록 엔코딩하여 TV로 출력되는 엔코더(33)로 구성된 것을 특지응로 하는 브이오디(VOD)용 멀티 인터페이스 시스템.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 각각의 부 셋타박스(50-1~50-N)는 상기 NIU(20)의 제1 내지 제N 인터페이스 송신부(28-1~28-N)에서 출력된 영상 및 음성 디지탈 데이타를 수신하여 MPEG, 영상 디코더(52)와 MPEG 음성 디코더(53)로 각각 공급하는 인터페이스 수신부(51)와, 상기 인터페이스 수신부(51)에서 출력된 영상 디지탈 데이터를 MPEG 디코딩하여 원래의 영상 데이타로 복원하는 MPEG 영상 디코더(52)와, 상기 인터페이스 수신부(51)에서 출력된 음성 디지탈 데이타를 MPEG 디코딩하여 원래의 음성 데이타로 복원하는 MPEG 음성 디코더(53)와, 상기 디코더(52)(53)에서 각각 복원된 영상 및 음성 데이타가 TV 화면출력될 수 있도록 엔코딩하여 TV로 출력하는 엔코더(54)와, 상기 디코더(52)(53)의 디코딩 동작을 제어하며 사용자가 선택한 메뉴에 해당하는 영상이 수신되도록 하기위한 제어신호를 인터페이스 수신부(51)와 인터페이스 송신부(28-1~28-N)를 통해 메인 셋탑박스(100)의 콘트롤부(40)로 공급하는 콘트롤러(55)로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 브이오디(VOD)용 멀티 인터페이스 시스템.
