Abstract

본 발명의 반사형 액정 표시 장치는 상부에 반사 전극이 형성된 제 1기판, 그 상부에 투광성의 대향 기판 및 컬러 필터가 형성된 제 2기판 및 제 1기판과 제 2기판 사이에 삽입된 액정층을 포함하며, 컬러 필터는 적색 컬러 필터부 및 시안(cyan) 컬러 필터부를 포함한다. 시안 컬러 필터부는 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광색상과 보색인 광을 투과시킨다. 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광은 표준 광원 D65를 사용하여 2˚의 시야각에서 다음 관계식을 만족하는 XYZ 컬러 시스템 색도도의 색도(x,y)를 가진다.

Claims (12)

  1. 반사형 액정 표시 장치에 있어서, 상부에 반사 전극이 형성된 제 1기판; 그 상부에 투광성의 대향 기판 및 컬러 필터가 형성된 제 2기판; 상기 제 1기판과 제 2기판 사이에 삽입된 액정층을 포함하되, 상기 컬러 필터는 적색 컬러 필터부 및 시안 컬러 필터부를 포함하며 상기 시안 컬러 필터부는 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광색상과 보색인 광을 투과시키며; 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광은 표준 광원 D65를 사용하여 2˚의 시야각조건에서 다음 관계식 (0.038)2≤(x-0.313)2+(25/4)·(y-0.329)2≤(0.178)2; y≤0.145x+0.236; 및 y≥-0.233x+0.376 을 만족하는 XYZ 컬러 시스템 색도도의 색도(x,y)를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
  2. 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광은 다음 관계식 (0.038)2≤(x-0.313)2+(25/4); y≤0.233x+0.412; 및 x=0.420을 만족하는 XYZ 컬러 시스템 색도도의 색도를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
  3. 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 반사 전극에 의해 반사된 후 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광은 30 내지 75 범위의 Y값을 가지며, 상기 Y값은 XYZ 컬러 시스템에서 정의된 3개의 자극치들 중 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
  4. 제 1항에 있어서, 백색 광은 상기 시안 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광과 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광을 혼합하여 얻어지며, 상기 백색 광의 색도의 범위는 색도 (x,y)가 XYZ 컬러 시스템 색도도의 중심으로서 (0.321, 0.310), 장축이 0.018, 단축이 0.014이며 경사도가 45°로 정의된 타원형 범위이며, 상기 반사 전극에 의해 반사된 후 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광은 25이상의 Y값을 가지며, 상기 Y값은 상기 XYZ 컬러 시스템에서 3개의 자극치들 중 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
  5. 제 4항에 있어서, 상기 백색 광의 색도(x, y)의 x 및 y값은 각각 0.301 내지 0.317의 범위 및 0.310 내지 0.333 범위 내에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
  6. 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은 밝은 상태에서 투과율이 40%이며 어두운 상태에서 15% 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
  7. 표시부를 포함하는 개인용 디지털 기기에 있어서, 상기 표시부는 청구항 1에서의 액정 표시 장치인 것을 특징으로 하는 개인용 디지털 기기.
  8. 적색 컬러 필터부 및 시안 컬러 필터부를 포함하는 컬러 필터에 있어서, 상기 시안 컬러 필터부는 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광 색상과 보색인 광을 투과시키며; 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광은 표준 광원 D65를 사용하여 2˚의 시야각조건에서 다음 관계식 (0.038)2≤(x-0.313)2+(25/4)·(y-0.329)2≤(0.178)2; y≤0.145x+0.236; 및 y≥-0.233x+0.376 을 만족하는 XYZ 컬러 시스템 색도도의 색도(x,y)를 가지는 것 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터.
  9. 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광은 다음 관계식 (0.038)2≤(x-0.313)2+(25/4)·(y-0.329)2≤(0.178)2; y≤0.233x+0.412; 및 x=0.420을 만족하는 XYZ 컬러 시스템 색도도의 색도를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터.
  10. 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 반사기에 의해 반사된 후 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광은 30 내지 75범위의 Y값을 가지며, 상기 Y값은 XYZ 컬러 시스템에서 정의된 3개의 자극치들 중 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터.
  11. 제 8항에 있어서, 백색 광은 상기 시안 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광과 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광을 혼합하여 얻어지며, 상기 백색 광의 색도의 범위는 색도(x, y)가 XYZ 컬러 시스템 색도도의 중심으로서 (0.321, 0.310), 장축이 0.018, 단축이 0.014이며 경사도가 45°로 정의된 타원형 범위이며, 상기 컬러 필터가 반사기와 함께 사용되는 경우, 상기 반사기에 의해 반사된 후 상기 적색 컬러 필터부를 통해 투과된 광은 25 이상의 Y값을 가지며, 상기 Y값은 상기 XYZ 컬러 시스템에서 3개의 자극치들 중 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터.
  12. 제 11항에 있어서, 상기 백색 광의 색도(x, y)의 x 및 y값은 각각 0.301 내지 0.317의 범위 및 0.310 내지 0.333범위 내에 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터.
