Abstract

비디오 및 오디오 따위의 신호를 분배하기에 적절한 네트워크가 제공된다. 제2네트워크(30)가 기존의 LAN(20) 위에 놓임으로써, LAN의 성능을 떨어뜨리지 않으면서, 오디오 및 비디오 성능을 제공한다. 비디오 및 오디오 신호의 스위칭은 서버(50)를 통해 LAN으로부터 제어될 수 있는 스위치박스(31)에 의해 제어된다. 제2네트워크는 단순한 UTP 구성일 수도 있다.

Claims (5)

  1. 네트워크내에서 비디오 및/또는 오디오 데이터를 선택적으로 분배하고 상기 비디오 및/또는 오디오 데이터용 제어 신호 및 추가적인 데이터를 제공하는 시스템에 있어서, 추가적인 데이터 및 제어 신호가 제1디지털 네트워크 상에서 반송되고, 비디오 및/또는 오디오 데이터는 제2의 물리적으로 구별되는 케이블 네트워크 위에서 전송되며, 상기 제2네트워크는 양쪽 네트워크와 통신하는 스위칭 노드를 통해 상기 제어 신호에 응답하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 비디오 및/또는 오디오 신호는 아날로그 포맷으로 반송되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제2네트워크는 일련의 차폐되지 않고 꼬여진 쌍으로 된(UTP) 연결부로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 시스템내의 터미널의 적어도 일부는 제1 및 제2네트워크 양쪽에 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  5. 전술한 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 스위칭 수단이, 상기 제1네트워크 상에서 전송된 제어 신호에 직접 또는 간접적으로 응답할 수 있도록, 상기 제2네트워크 내에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
