Abstract

Claims (7)

  1. 클러스터화된 계산기 시스템의 디스크 액세스 경로 고정으로부터 회복하는 방법(a method for recovering from failures in a disk access path of a clustered computing system)에 있어서, a)상기 클러스터화된 계산기 시스템의 각 주어진 노드마다, 상기 주어진 노드에서 실행되는 응용들로부터의 물리적 디스크 액세스 요청을 처리하고 또한 상기 디스크 액세스 요청들을 상기 디스크에 물리적으로 부착된 1차 노드(primary node)로 향하게 하며, 상기 주어진 노드마다 그 노드로부터 유래한 모든 계류중인 요청들을 위한 상태 정보를 유지하는 대리 논리(proxy logic)를 제공하는 단계와, b)디스크로의 상기 액세스 경로상의 고장을 발견하는 단계와, c)상기 고장 발견에 응답하여 상기 모든 노드들상의 상기 대리 소프트웨어(proxy software)로 하여금 상기 디스크에 대한 모든 차후의 요청들을 상기 디스크에 같이 물리적으로 부착되어 있는 제2노드로 향하도록 통지(notify)하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크 액세스 경로 고장 회복 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액세스 경로는 상기 디스크가 물리적으로 부착된 디스크 어댑터 및 노드들을 포함하며 상기 고장은 상기 노드들 및 상기 어댑터들 중 임의의 곳에서 발견되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크 액세스 경로 고장 회복 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 고장 발견에 응답하여 상기 디시크로의 인입되는 액세스 요청들을 큐에 저장하는 단계와, 상기 큐내에 상기 요청들을 상기 제2노드를 통해 상기 디스크로 재전송(reroute)하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크 액세스 경로 고장 회복 방법.
  4. 다수인 N개의 노드와, 상기 노드들중 M개 노드에 연결된(N은 M보다 크다)다수의 포트들을 구비하는 다중 포트 디스크(multiported disk)와, 상기 노드들과 결합하여, 상기 디스크 및 그 디스크에 물리적으로 연결되지 않은 노드들 사이의 디스크 액세스 경로를 따라 고장을 발견하는 고장 발견메카니즘(failure detection mechanism)과, 상기 각 고장 발견 메카니즘과 결합하여, 고장이 발견되면 상기 다중 포트 디스크로의 액세스 요청들을 상기 디스크 및 그 디스크에 물리적으로 연결되지 않은 노드들 사이의 다른 디스크 액세스 경로로 재지정(redirect)하기 위한 대리 논리를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 클러스터화된 다중 처리 시스템(clustered multi- processing system).
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 각 노드마다 상기 디스크에 대해 인입되는 액세스 요청들을 저장하기 위한 큐(queue)와, 상기 큐내의 요청들을 다른 디스크 액세스 경로를 통해 상기 디스크로 재전송하기 위한 수단(means for rerouting)을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 클러스터화된 다중 처리 시스템.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 고장 발견 메카니즘은 상기 디스크에 물리적으로 부착된 임의의 노드들내의 고장과 상기 디스크에 물리적으로 부착된 각 노드들이 상기 디스크에 연결되는 디스크 어댑터내의 고장을 발견하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 클러스터화된 다중 처리 시스템.
  7. 클러스터화된 계산기 시스템내의 디스크 액세스 경로고장으로부터 회복하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 클러스터화된 계산기 시스템에서 상기 디스크 액세스 경로상의 고장을 발견하는 단계와, 상기 고장을 발견하자마자 상기 디스크로의 액세스를 갖는 시스템내 모든 노드들에게 메세지를 방송하는 단계와, 상기 메세지에 응답하여 각 노드상의 가상 공유 디스크를 중단(suspend)하고 상기 고장난 액세스 경로를 따라 상기 디시크에 보내진 계류중인 요청들을 저장하고 가상 공유디스크가 중단되는 동안 도착하는 요청들을 저장하는 단계와, 상기 고장의 영향을 받은 가상 공유 디스크들을 재개하기 위하여 제2의 메세지를 상기 노드들에 방송하는 단계와, 상기 제2의 메세지를 받자마자, 새로운 1차 테일을 보유하는 상기 노드를 상기 가상 디바이스를 위한 목적지 맵(destination map)안에 기록함으로써 각 노드에서 상기 가상 공유 디스크들을 재개하는 단계와, 상기 새로운 1차 테일로 상기 모든 요청들을 재발생하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크 액세스 경로 고장 회복 방법.
