Abstract
본 발명에 의한 동화상 부호화장치에서는 부호화기 전단에 부호화 블럭의 특성에 맞게 적응적으로 대역을 제한하는 프리필터를 설치하고, 프리필터링한 결과를 다시 양자화 스텝 사이즈 결정에 반영하여 종래 방식이 갖는 화질열화의 원인인 양자화 오차를 어느 정도 해상도 오차로 반감시킴으로써 효과적으로 화질을 향상시킬 수 있다.

제3도는 본 발명에 의한 동화상 부호화장치에 따른 블럭도이다.
제4도는 제I도에 있어서 프리필터의 상세 회로도이다.
제5도는 본 발명에서 도출된 대역제한보상 파라미터의 특성을 나타낸 그래프이다.
Claims (3)
- 동화상 부호화장치에 있어서, 입력되는 소스화상에 대하여 부호화 블럭의 특성에 맞게 적응적으로 대역을 제한하기 위하여 프리필터링을 실시하는 프리필터 ; 및 상기 프리필터의 통과대역 인덱스와, 후방의 레이트 제어를 통한 버퍼의 충만도에 따른 기준 양자화 파라미터에 의해 액티비티를 산출하여, 이산여현변환된 화상데이타의 최종 양자화 파라미터를 결정하는 액티비티 산출기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 동화상 부호화장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프리필터는 입력되는 소스화상의 매크로블럭 특성을 화상신호의 복잡도에 따라 N개의 클래스로 분류한 다음 상기 클래스 정보에 따라 필터통과대역 인덱스를 산출하여 매크로블럭당 저역 통과 필터링을 시행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 동화상 부호화장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액티비티 산출기는 상기 기준 양자화 파라미터와, 부호화를 실행하는 매크로블럭의 복잡도 평가를 실시하는 전방 액티비티 산출을 위한 액티비티 파라미터와, 상기 프리필터의 통과대역 인덱스에 의해 산출하는 대역제한보상 파라미터를 곱함으로써 상기 액티비티를 산출하는 것을 특징으로 하는 동화상 부호화장치.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
