Abstract
본 발명은 기름과 같은 액체 연료의 연소에 유용한 개선된 분무장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 분무장치 및 방법은 미소한 분무각을 가진 액체연료의 흐름을 일정하게 제공한다. 낮은 액체 연료의 흐름이 액체연료의 통로의 외부에 분무될때도, 미소한 분무각을 가진 액체연료의 흐름이 제공될 수 있다. 일정한 좁은 분무각의 액체연료의 흐름의 제공은, 분무장치가 내화로의 벽에 형성된 내화구의 내부구멍으로부터 상당히 오목하게 형성되는 경우에도 막힘의 문제점을 초래하지 않고 분무장치가 장시간 작동될 수 있게 한다.

제2도는 제1도의 분무기를 갖춘 액체 연료버너로서, 버너가 내화로의 벽의 내화구내에 제공된 액체 연료버너의 횡단면도.
Claims (10)
- 유효 연소를 위해서 산화질소의 생성이 감소된 액체연료를 분무하기 위한 장치로서, (a) 내부면 및 외부면을 가진 노즐로서, 상기 내부면은 액체연료의 통로와 액체연료구를 형성하고, 상기 액체연료구를 상기 액체연료의 통로로부터 액체연료를 수용하기 위한 흡입구와 액체연료를 배출하기 위한 배출구를 갖추고 있는 노즐과, (b)봉입물로서, 상기 노즐의 적어도 일부를 중심방향으로 둘러싸는 내부면 및 외부면을 갖추고 있는 상기 봉입물의 상기 내부면과 상기 노즐의 상기 외부면의 사이에 환형통로 및 환형 및 분무액체를 형성하며, 상기 환형통로는 흡입구 및 배출구를 갖춘 상기 환형의 분무액체구로 종결되고, 상기 환형의 분무 액체구를 형성하는 상기 봉입물의 상기 내부면의 적어도 일부와 상기 노즐의 상기 외부면의 적어도 일부는 상기 배출구 쪽으로 직경이 감소된 원뿔형으로 형성되고, 상기 액체연료구의 상기 배출구의 직경과 상기 환형의 분무액체연료구의 상기 배출구의 직경의 비는 0.25내지 0.55의 범위내에 있는 봉입물을 갖추고 있는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 환형의 분무액체구를 형성하는 상기 봉입물의 상기 내부면중의 일부와 상기 노즐의 상기 외부면중의 일부가, 상기 노즐의 종축으로 부터 측정된 5°내지 30°범위의 각으로 상기 배출구 쪽으로 직경이 감소하는 원뿔형으로 형성되고, 상기 액체 연료구의 상기 배출구의 직경과 상기 환형의 분무 액체구의 상기 배출구의 직경의 비는 0.35내지 0.45의 범위내에 있는 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 환형의 분무 액체구를 형성하는 상기 봉입물의 상기 내부면 중의 적어도 일부와 상기 노즐의 상기 외부면중의 적어도 일부가, 상기 노즐의 종축으로부터 측정된 12°내지 18°의 범위의 각으로 상기 배출구 쪽으로 직경이 감소하는 원뿔형으로 형성되어 있는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액체연료구의 상기 배출구가, 상기 액체연료구의 상기 배출구의 직경과 동일한 길이에 이르는 거리로 상기 환형 분무 액체구의 상기 배출구의 하부에 위치되거나 상기 환형 분무 액체구의 상기 배출구와 동일한 평면내에 위치되어 있는 장치.
- 액체연료의 유동축으로부터 측정된 15°이하의 외부의 주변각을 가진 확산되는 스프레이 형태의 액체연료의 흐름을 제공하도록 액체연료를 분무함으로써 산화질소의 생성이 감소되어 유효연소를 촉진하기 위한 방법으로서, (a)적어도 제1구멍으로부터 액체 연료의 흐름을 배출하는 단계와, (b)적어도 하나의 제2환형구멍으로부터 상기 적어도 하나의 제1구멍쪽으로 상기 노즐의 종축으로부터 측정된 5°내지 30°의 범위의 수렴각으로 분무액체를 상기 액체 연료의 흐름쪽으로 향하여 0.5마하 내지 1.2마하의 속도로 배출하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 액체 연료가 초당 50피트(15.24m)의 속도로 배출되는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 분무액체가 상기 노즐의 종축으로부터 측정된 12°내지 18°의 범위의 수렴각으로 0.8마하 내지 1.1마하의 속도로 상기 액체 연료의 흐름을 향하여 배출되는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 분무액체가, 상기 분무액체와 상기 액체연료의 질량비가 0.4내지 0.7의 범위에서 유지되도록 주입되는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 분무액체가 증기, 질소, 공기, 산호가 풍부한 공기 및 순수 산소로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택되는 방법.
