Abstract

본 발명은 전해 정련용기에서 배출될때 어떠한 후속 처리도 없이 100ppb 미만의 희토류 원소 함량과 20ppb 미만의 우라늄 및 토륨의 전체 함량을 가지며 99.998% 이상의 순도를 가지는 알루미늄을 전해 정련으로 얻는 것에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 또한 비용을 절감할 수 있는 상기 알루미늄 제조공정에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 고순도 알루미늄은 주로 전기 회로의 금속 피복(metallization)에 이용된다.

Claims (5)

  1. 전해정련 용기에서 배출될때 어떠한 후속 처리도 없이 희토류 원소 함량이 100ppb 미만이고 우라늄과 토륨의 총함량이 20ppb 미만인 것을 특징으로 하는 전해정련으로 얻은 순도 99.99% 이상의 알루미늄.
  2. 50 내지 80%의 예비정제 금속 수율을 가지는 제1분급 결정화 작업을 실행한 후에, 용해된 할로겐화 염으로된 전해욕내에서 3층 공정(3 layer process)으로 90% 이상의 최종 정제 금속 수율을 가지는 전해정령 작업으로 상기 예비정제 금속을 정련하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제1항에 따른 알루미늄 제조방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 전해욕을 구성하고 조정하는 할로겐화염이 미리 정제되는 것을 특징으로 하는 알루미늄 제조방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 염이 액체 알루미늄과 접촉하여 정제되는 것을 특징으로 하는 알루미늄 제조방법.
  5. 제2항에 내지 제4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 전해정련 작업후에 1ppm 미만의 U+Th 함량을 가지는 매우 순수한 도가니내에서 30 내지 80% 수율을 갖는 물리적 정제작업을 길행하며, U+Th 함량이 0.1ppb 미만이고 알루미늄 순도가 99.9995% 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 알루미늄 제조 방법.
