Abstract

본 발명은 밀폐된 반응 용기내에서 플라스마 아크 토치를 독립적 열원으로 사용하여 도시의 고체 폐기물을 기화시켜서 중질의 기체와 독성이 낮은 원소 침출성을 가진 비활성 일체식 슬래그를 생성시키는 방법에 관한 것이다. 상기 기체는 금속 및 준휘발성 유기화합물 특히 디옥신과 푸란의 수준이 낮다. 예컨대 석탄, 목재 및 토탄과 같은 기타 물질들도 기화될 수 있다.

Claims (8)

  1. 도시의 고체 폐기물(MSW) 및 탄소를 기초로 한 기타 고체들을 기화시키는 방법으로서, (i) 내벽이 내화물질로 되어 있는 용기의 내측에서 프라스마 아크 토치를 발화시키는 단계; (ii) 상기 반응 용기의 벽을 1100℃ 이상까지 예열시키는 단계; (iii)상기 MSW를 반응 용기내로 공급하고 공기의 유입을 최소화시키는 단계로 이루어지는 도시고체 폐기물의 기화방법.
  2. 도시외 고체 폐기물(MSW) 및 탄소틀 기초로 한 기타 고체들을 기화시키는 방법으로서, (i) 내벽이 내화 물질로 되어 있는 용기의 내측에서 프라스마 아크 토치를 발화시키고 수직 가열 영역을 발생시키는 단계; (ii) 상기 반응 용기의 벽을 1100℃ 이상까지 예열시키는 단계; (iii)상기 MSW를 반응 용기내의 수직 가열영역에 직접 공급하고 공기의 유입을 최소화시키는 단계로 이루어지는 도시 고체 폐기물의 기화방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 수직 가열영역내에 MSW가 남아 있어서 상기 MSW 내의 습기가 탄소와 반응하여 MSW로 부터 탄소를 제거시키는 것을 특징으로하는 도시고체 폐기물의 기화방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 MSW를 수압식 수평 공급장치에 의해 반응 용기내로 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 도시 고체 폐기물의 기화방법.
  5. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 MSW가 공급되는 쪽의 반대편으로 부터 생성기체를 추출하는 것을 특징으로 하는 도시 고체 폐기물의 기화방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, MSW를 기체와 일체화 액체 슬래그로 열분해시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 도시 고체 폐기물의 기화방법.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 사이클론에 의해 기체 반응 용기로 부터 기체를 배출시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 도시고체 폐기물의 기화방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 일체식 액체 슬래그가 MSW내에 금속을 캡슐화시키는 규산염 물질인 것을 특징으로 하는 도시 고체 폐기물의 기화방법.
