Abstract

본원은 아날로그 정보 및 디지탈 정보를 동시 통신시키는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 일반적으로, 통신 채널이 다차원 공간으로서 관찰될 때, 디지탈 정보 신호는 심볼로 분할되고 상기 심볼들은 자신들간에 사전 설정된 거리를 갖는 신호 공간상에 대응한다. 상기 심볼들을 분리시키는 거리보다 작은 크기로 제한되는 아날로그 신호는 성분 신호로 변환되어 상기 심볼에 더해진다(즉, 벡터 가산). 그리고 나서, 합 신호는 심볼들을 검파하고 수신된 신호에서 감산하는 수신기에 전송되어 아날로그 신호 성분을 발생시킨다. 전송된 아날로그 신호는 이들 성분으로부터 재생된다. 반이중 통신 및 전체 이중 통신 동작을 본 발명에 따라서 활용 될 수 있다.

Claims (7)

  1. 디지탈 포트에서 공급되는 디지탈 신호 및 아날로그 포트에서 공급되는 아날로그 신호를 갖는 신호 대응기와, 상기 신호 대응기에 응답하여 다수의 N차원 불륨으로 이루어진 N차원 신호 공간으로 표시될 수 있는 변조된 출력 신호를 변조기의 출력 포토에서 발생시키는 변조기로서, 상기 N차원 볼륨은 상기 인가된디지탈 신호에 의해 상기 대응기에 인가되는 디지탈 신호와 관계된 상기 볼륨 각각의 소정 포인트 및 상기신호 대응기에 인가되는 상기 아날로그 신호와 관계된 상기 볼륨 각각의 다른 포인트를 갖는 상기 변조기와, 상기 변조기의 출력 포토를 모뎀의 출력 포토에 결합시키는 수단을 구비하는 모뎀.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 모뎀 출력 포트 및 상기 변조기 출력 포트간에 삽입되고 상기 모뎀의 연산 상태에 응답하는 스위치 수단으로서, 상기 스위치 수단은 상기 모뎀의 연산 상태가 어떤 한 값을 때 상기 모뎀 출력 포트를 상기 변조기 출력 포트에 접속시키고 상기 모뎀의 연산 상태가 또다른 한 값일 때 상기 모뎀 출력을 상기 아날로그 포트에 접속시키는 사기 스위치 수단을 더 구비하는 모뎀.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 입력 A및 B와 출력 A 및 B를 갖는 선택 수단으로서, 상기 출력 A는 아날로그 포트에 접속된 아날로그 출력이고 상기 출력 B는 디지탈 포트에 접속된 디지탈 출력이며, 이들 각각은 입력 A에서 아날로그 입력 신호 및 입력 B에서 디지탈 입력 신호에 응답하여 “입력 A에서 아날로그 신호가 나타날 때는 입력 B에서 디지탈 신호를 나타내지 않으며”, “입력 B에서 디지탈 신호가 나타날 때는 입력 A에서 아날로그 신호를 나타내지 않으며”, “입력 A에서 아날로그 신호를 나타내고 입력 B에서 디지탈 신호를 나타내는”, 모뎀의 출력 단자에서 출력 신호를 형성하기 위하여 아날로그 입력 포트와 디지탈 입력 포트로 입력 A와 입력 B에서 신호를 선택적으로 공급하는 상기 선택 수단을 더 구비하는 모뎀.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 아날로그 포트에 결합되는 전화 기능을 실행하는 수단을 더 구비하는 모뎀.
  5. 제4항에서 있어서, 디지탈 신호를 접속기를 거쳐 상기 모뎀의 디지탈 포트에 결합시키는 상기 접속기를 갖는 전화 하우징을 더 구비하는 모뎀.
  6. 제1항에서 있어서, 인쇄 회로 기판들을 수납하는 슬롯을 포함하는 컴퓨터 회로로서, 상기 인쇄 기판들은 상기 슬롯중 하나의 슬롯에 삽입되는 하나의 인쇄 회로 기판상에 구성되는 상기 모뎀을 갖는 상기 컴퓨터 회로와, 오디오 신호를 수신하고 상기 모뎀의 상기 아날로그 포트에 접속되는 접속기를 더 구비하는 상기 인쇄 회로 기판상에 구성된 모뎀.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 전화기가 결합되는 디지탈 단자 및 아날로그 단자를 갖는 팩스기로서, 상기 팩스기는 아날로그 단자에 접속된 아날로그 포트 및 상기 디지탈 단자에 접속된 디지탈 포트를 갖는 상기 팩스기를 더 구비하는 모뎀.
