Abstract
본 발명은 평판 표시장치의 구동방법과 이 표시장치의 구동회로에 관한 것으로, 특히 수신된 디지털 영상신호에 응하여 그레이 스케일의 영상을 만들어내도록 디지털 영상신호를 수신하는 표시장치를 구동하는 방법과 그 표시장치의 구동회로에 관한 것이다. 이 구동방법은, 복수의 화소와 이들 화소에 각각 접속된 스위칭소자를 갖는 표시부, 상기 표시부를 구동하기 위한 구동회로 및 이 구동회로와 스위칭 소자들을 접속하는 신호의 포함하고, 상기 화소들에 특정 전압들을 인가함으로써 영상을 생성할 수 있는 방법으로서; 1출력기간의 개시로부터 일정 기간동안, 상기 구동회로가 진동하지 않는 전압신호를 상기 신호선들 각각에 출력하는 단계; 및 상기 일정기간의 경과후 상기 제1출력기간의 종료까지, 상기 구동회로가 적어도 1회 진동하는 진동성분을 갖는 진동전압신호를 상기 신호선들 각각에 출력하는 단계를 포함한다.

제5도는 그레이 스케일 기준전압 V0과 V2의 파형도,
제6도는 그레이 스케일 기준전압V0과 V2를 공급하는 전원회로(60)의 회로도,
제7도는 데이터 구동기에 부하를 주는 데이터선의 등가회로도,
제8도는 기생진동이 발생한 전원회로로부터 공급되는 그레이 스케일 기준전압 V0의 파형도.
Claims (7)
- 복수의 화소와 이들 화소에 각각 접속된 스위칭소자를 갖는 표시부, 상기 표시부를 구동하기 위한 구동회로, 및 이 구동회로와 스위칭소자들을 접속하는 신호선을 포함하고, 상기 화소들에 특정 전압들을 인가함으로써 영상을 생성할 수 있는 표시장치의 구동방법으로서; 1출력기간의 개시로부터 일정기간 동안, 상기 구동회로가 진동하지 않는 전압신호를 상기 신호선들 각각에 출력하는 단계; 및 상기 일정 기간의 경과후 상기 제1출력기간의 종료까지, 상기 구동회로가 적어도 1회 진동하는 진동성분을 갖는 진동전압신호를 상기 신호선들 각각에 출력하는 단계;를 포함하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 일정 기간은 상기 구동회로가 과도 상태, 즉 상기 출력기간의 개시 직후에 구동회로가 상승하는 상태에 있는 기간을 포함하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 진동전압신호가 제1전압과 제2전압 사이를 주기적으로 진동하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 복수의 화소와 이들 화소에 각각 접속된 스위칭소자를 갖는 표시부, 및 상기 스위칭소자들에 접속된 신호선들을 포함하고, 상기 화소들에 특정 전압들을 인가함으로써 영상을 생성할 수 있는 표시장치의 구동회로로서; 1출력기간의 개시로 부터 일정기간 동안, 진동하지 않는 전압신호를 상기 신호선들 각각에 출력한 다음, 상기 일정기간의 경과후 상기 1출력기간의 종료까지 적어도 1회 진동하는 진동성분을 갖는 진동전압 신호를 상기 신호선에 출력하는 전압신호 출력제어수단을 포함하는 구동회로.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 일정 기간은 상기 구동회로가 과도 상태, 즉 상기 출력기간의 개시 직후에 구동회로가 상승하는 상태에 있는 기간을 포함하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 진동전압신호가 제1전압과 제2전압 사이를 주기적으로 진동하는 구동회로.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 전압신호 출력제어수단이, 복수의 스위칭 수단; 및 디지털 영상테이타를 수신하고, 이렇게 수신된 영상데이타에 따라 상기 스위칭 수단들 각각의 ON/OFF 상태를 제어하도록 스위칭수단들을 각각 ON/OFF하는 선택제어회로;를 포함하고, 상기 스위칭수단 각각에는 ON상태일때만 사로 다른 전압신호들이 공급되어, 상기 신호선들 각각으로 출력되며; 상기 선택제어회로는 상기 일정기간동안에 상기 스위칭수단들중의 하나를 ON상태로 한 다음, 상기 일정 기간의 경과후 상기 1출력기간의 종료까지 상기 복수의 스위칭소자들중의 적어도 한쌍의 스위치소자의 ON/OFF 상태를 제어하여 교대로 ON시키는 구동회로.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
