Abstract
순도가 95%이상인 알파 알루미나를 90중량%이상 포함하는 다공성 담체 물질은 엔진 배기물을 처리하는 촉매용 지지체로서 매우 효과적이고 통상적인 지지체보다 현저히 우수하게 극한 조건을 견뎌낼 수 있다.

Claims (16)
- 순도가 95%이상인 90중량%이상의 α-알루미나와 약 10중량%이하의 산소 촉진제를 포함하고, 다공도가 약0.2내지 약0.6㎤/담체g이고, 표면적이 약0.2내지 약10㎡/담체g이며, 평균 공극 크기가 약 0.1내지 약0.1내지 약100μ인 촉매 담체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 존재하는 실리게이트와 알루미노실리게이트의 양이 2중량%미만인 촉매 담체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 산소 촉진제가 약1내지 약 5중량%의 양으로 존재하는 촉매 담체.
- 제7항에 있어서, 산소 촉진제가 세륨, 몰리브레늄, 비나듐, 망간, 크로뮴, 티타늄, 란타늄, 니오븀, 지르코니아 및 희토류 금속으로 이루어진 그룹 중에서 선택되는 금속인 촉매 담체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 절대적 가스 채널을 갖는 단일체 형태인 촉매 담체.
- 제5항에 있어서, 구조중의 개방 셀 밀도가 약 100내지 약 400ce11/in2인 촉매 담체.
- 제5항에 있어서, 단일체가 절대적 가스 채널을 갖는 개방 정면을 포함하고 채널이 개방 정면의 약 25%를 구성하는 촉매 담체.
- 제5항에 있어서, 절대적 가스 채널의 최소 단면 직경이 약 l㎜이상인 촉매 담체.
- 제5항에 있어서, 인접한 절대적 가스 채널 사이의 벽 두께가 5㎜미만인 촉매 담체.
- 제5항에 있어서, 단일체의 평균 측면 및 정면 파열 강도가 20lb이상인 촉매 담체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 필형 입자 형태인 촉매 담체.
- 제11항에 있어서, 마모 손실률이 25%/h미만인 촉매 담체.
- 절대적 가스 채널을 갖고 75중량%이상의 α-알루미나, 1내지 5중량%의 산소 촉진제(이때, 산소 촉진제는 회토류 금속과 주기율표의 IVA, VA, VIA및 VⅡA족의 금속의 산화물중에서 선택된 산화물이다)및 2%미만의 실리케이트 및/또는 알루미노실리게이트 불순물을 포함하며, 다공도가 0.3내지 0.5㎤/담체g이고, 표면적이고 약 0.3내지 약4㎡/담체g이며, 평균 공극 크기가 약 0.2내지 약 5μ인 단일체 형태의 촉매 담체.
- 제13항에 있어서, 절대적 가스 채널이 개방 정면의 약 40%이상을 차지하는 촉매 담체.
- 제13항에 있어서, 개방 셀 밀도가 약200내지 약400ce11/in2이고 인접한 절대적 가스 채널 사이의 벽 두께가 약 3㎜미만인 촉매 담체.
