Abstract

본 발명은 데이타 압축을 위해 이용되는 가변길이코드를 디코딩하기 위한 장치에 관한 것으로, 가변길이코드 디코더(100)는 수신채널로부터 비트스트림을 수시하고 래치하며, 제어신호에 따라 수신된 비트스트림중 기설정된 비트워드를 재조립 및 워드길이 테이블(40)에 제공하기 위한 인터페이스회로(10,20,30)를 포함한다.
인터페이스회로(10,20,30)는 전술한 기설정된 비트워드를 선택하기 위해, 비트스트림의 선행비트로부터 1비트씩 자리이동된 상기 기설정된 비트워드를 각기 출력하는 윈도우(WO, …,WN)를 가진 윈도우 회로(30)를 포함한다. 이러한 윈도우(WO, …,WN)의 선택은 시간지연을 최소화할 수 있도록 재조립 및 워드길이테이블(40)로부터의 상기 디코더된 심볼의 워드길이데이타에 응답하여 윈도우(WO, …,WN)를 선택하는 바렐 쉬프터에 의해 이루어진다.

제 1 도는 본 발명에 따른 가변길이 코드 디코딩장치의 블럭도.
제 2 도는 디코딩중에 제 1 도 인터페이스 회로에서 발생하는 예시적인 동작을 설명하기 위한 도면.

Claims (2)

  1. 수신채널로부터 비트스트림을 수신하여 래치하고, 상기 비트 스트림중 가설정된 비트의 워드를 디코더되는 심볼의 어드레스로서 제공하는 인터페이스 회로(10, 20, 30)와, 상기 인터페이스 회로로 부터의 상기 기설정된 비트워드를 입력하여, 디코더된 심볼과 상기 디코더된 심볼의 워드길이 데이타를 출력하도록, 코드워드를 나타내는 엔트리 데이타와, 그에 대응하는 워드길이 데이타를 포함하는 재조립 및 워드길이 테이블(40)과, 상기 인터페이스 회로(10, 20, 30)의 상기 비트 스트림중 상기 기설정된 비트워드의 선택을 제어하는 제어수단(50)을 포함하는 것으로, 상기 인터페이스 회로(10, 20, 30)가, 상기 기설정된 비트워드를 래치하는 제 1 래치회로(10)와 ; 상기 제 1 래치회로(10)로부터의 선행의 기설정된 비트워드를 래치하는 제 2 래치회로(20)와 ; 상기 제1 및 제 2 래치회로(20)로부터의 출력을 동시에 입력하여 상기 제어수단에 의해 선택되며 선행의 기설정된 비트워드의 선행비트로부터 각기 1비트씩 자리이동된 상기 기설정된 비트의 비트스트림을 각기 출력하는 다수의 윈도우(W0,…,Wn)를 포함하는 윈도우 회로(30)를 포함하는 가변길이 코드 디코딩 장치.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단(50)이 상기 재조립 및 워드길이 테이블(40)로 부터 상기 워드길이 데이타를 입력하여, 상기 디코드된 심볼의 코드 워드 길이에 따라 상기 윈도우(W0,…,WN)를 선택하는 선택신호를 출력하기 위한 바렐 쉬프터를 포함하는 가변길이 코드디코딩 장치.
